I missed wilshere spending hisp whole second seasos injured due to the ankle injury. Take away that freak accident and him and shaw have the exact same league appearances after first two season. What makes one more injury prone 5han the other? For all you know shaw will break down in the future as well.

There's an obvious risk but we've had successes paying similar amounts for Rooney and Rio at a young age and then recouping the value over the course of 10+ years. We'd really need Shaw to develop into a top left-back and stay they from the age of 21 to 31/32 to justify the fee.
