Luis Suarez to Liverpool?

Why would City want another player to play in the exact same position as Tevez and Aguero? They get en each other's way enough as it is.

It's pretty simple as to what will happen. If Suarez came in you will most likely get both Dzeko and Balotelli leaving as both want to be starting strikers, which isn't happening anytime soon. Suarez can play wide in a 4-3-3 and I'm sure if they went with that the front 3 would be switching with fluidity anyway.

I think dzeko is off whatever happens, but surely the biggest loser if suarez arrives would be nasri.

Suarez is good, but not as good as either tevez or aguero, hes also a better front lying playmaker than he is a goalscorer, all of which point to nasri being shoved out for him.

Mancini would never play with only 2 midfielders. So Silva takes one of Suarez/Tevez place and one midfielder will come for Silva (Garcia).

Last season he regularly played 4 of Aguero, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko or Balotelli together.

It was the season before he was hell bent on playing 2 holding players.

He started against us with Ageuero, Tevez, Silva and Nasri but I don't think that it was the norm especially in harder games.

Also, he signed another two holding midfielders so I think that he won't start changing things. Not enough brave for it.

Suarez is much much better than Tevez. What's Tevez actually done the last two seasons? Nothing.

Well, being a major factor for City to catch us and eventually win the title (after he made a U-turn), and being the major factor why they win the first trophy after many years (FA Cup in 2011). Of course that as a cnut he is he had a negative presence in the beginning of the season, but Suarez is not better in that aspect too.

Sorry to p*ss on some parades here, but here are some facts:

Suarez is 6 months into a 5 year deal
£50million is the record Liverpool currently hold for a player sold
Suarez, unlike Torres when sold, is not nearing the end of his career
City fans are tweeting their disdain at this link (long may that continue)

Torres was 26 when he was sold. Suarez will be 26 in January.

If he wants out he'll be gone, we all know that, don't kid yourself.

You could end up with a Tevez on your hands if you deny him a move if he wants one.

100% he'll be gone if wants to go. That's what happened to Christian Ronaldo too.

Some interesting tweets here

Lot of anger at the Etihad about being linked with Suarez. MCFC think LFC are trying to create a market for their most prized asset

Just had a call from a very senior source at MCFC. Been told there has been no move for Luis Suarez and there are no plans to bid.

Suarez story written by Merseyside-based reporters. Clearly briefed by LFC. What the motive is for misinformation is a matter of conjecture

Dunno what Liverpool's trying to do here.

Rumors online that this story has been leaked by Liverpool. If true I wonder what they are playing at? No way they would sell him in January.

He's certainly nowhere near his best but he was involved in some huge goals last season.

 Obviously something in the water over there...

Very strange indeed. If the club (BloodyFool Ayres) has done this then Suarez will want out. Thank God we tied him down to a 5 year contract.

Can't see him going anywhere in Jan. I'd be amazed. Certainly all a bit odd though.

Of course only difference being that Ronaldo left once he felt there was nothing left to win with Utd.

If Suarez goes it'll probably be because his best shot at a title with them could end up being in the Championship.

Not that strange really, if they get a bidding war going for him they could end up getting enough for him to sign 2 decent strikers (or 1 Andy Carroll).

They might get 35-40 mil for him. For this sum they will easily get 2-3 quality players.

They COULD......but wont. They would buy an overpriced undertalented lump to play upfront of the carrol/Hesky type, and a couple of vastly overrated and overpriced english youngsters of similar "quality" to the ones they already have.

It would be pretty strange if they were looking to create a bidding war for him to, I presume, give them money to spend elsewhere in the transfer market. But if that's the case why didn't they sell Agger in the summer? It's not like they couldn't have replaced him and still have a good amount of money to spend elsewhere.

Ah it is, what would they have got for Agger?

Sell Suarez for 30m buy the next Ba & Cisse for 15m, spend the rest on envelopes. What could go wrong?

From memory the rumours were that they'd bid somewhere around £20m. No idea if that's true.

Maybe they have to sell him because they can't afford to pay his contract with Champions League football which let's be honest is not in the horizon for Liverpool football club.

I see people saying he signed a new 5 year contract but it was basically just to bump his wages. He only signed a 1 year extension. His old contract was till 2016 anyway.

Its not like he was at the end of his contract and turned down a move to sign a fresh 5 year deal with Liverpool.

They'll go mental if he's sold.

Of course they'll fail to see it being a result of King Kenny blowing a fortune on shit.

Tom Ince (who they got rid of 18 months ago), Bent and a defender from a scandanavian country would be my guess.

FSG plan was (in my opinion of course) was to spend big early on and get the heavy lifting out of the way ie give KKK big money to spend more or less straight away.

He did that and spent it on the following:

Luis Suarez £23,000,000
Jordan Henderson £16,000,000
Charlie Adam £7,000,000
Stewart Downing £20,000,000
Sanchez Jose Enrique £6,300,000
Sebastian Coates £7,000,000
Andrew Carroll £35,000,000
Craig Bellamy free

That’s over 110mil in 18 months.

Then the plan was to spent around 30mil in the subsequent transfer windows to "tweak" the squad. Unfortunately for FSG around 85mil has been wasted by KKK. Now they have a situation on their hands where Rodgers probably need another 100mil+ to even be competitive in the fight for top 4. Of course the average Liverpool fan will forget FSG saved them from the Abyss. There plans are basically in ruins because of KKK. FSG have run the club in a very prudent fashion. Their plan was a brilliant one-except for one tiny flaw-appointing KKK.

All the papers seem to be carrying the story, a front 3 of Suarez and Silva either side of Aguero would be quality, can't see Liverpool selling though, it would be suicide.

I guess that could work with Mancini wanting to play 3 at the back and have bombing wingbacks. The plus side would be Suarez and Silva getting chances to score goals instead of Dzeko, and playing the 3 at the back that has cost them points this season.

You never walk alone. Indeed.

Idk but it looks like he hasn't left that much friends in his own team either.

Could have something to do with his constant complaining and nagging when he isn't getting the ball or someone else is taking a shot or just him being an annoying, dirty, little, horse faced cnut.

ffs, i didn't notice it at the time. He was genuinely shocked that he was walking alone. the delayed fist pump is cringeworthy, as if he's trying to save some embarrassment.
