I looked at my ff team for the first time in months last week and took Nani out, so I'm claiming credit for the goal.

Nice finish. I'm glad he is back, Nani and Valencia could be crucial for game against City.

Whatever, You're doing shit & you're trying to cover it up in an unrelated thread in the hope that nobody notices...

So anyway, Nani to start from now until the end of the season and I'm sure we can wrap it up.

A front four of Nani Rooney Valencia and Welbeck/Young with scholes and carrick behind them could be very good. It's got so much fluidity, interchange and versatility.

Congrats Nani......you're a lucky boy :)

great to have him back and really prefer him to Young, although, the latter has been very effective for us with assists, goals and pens. Without any stats at hand, I wouldn't mind betting he has been instrumental in nearly all our results since his injury. Still prefer Nani though..........oh, and congrats on fatlegs.

Maybe it is one of those injuries that hurt like hell for the first day and then get better instantly? Oh hang on, those things don't exist. Why don't they exist?

He'll start. We're just giving them something to think about.

Well thats a kick in the teeth. Hopefully nothing too serious and he can be at 100% for the match on Monday. Otherwise we still have Young as a more than capable deputy.

So we have pictures and news from Cardiff? I thought the team went there to escape media attention.

I want to think that Nani injury is not serious. If some journalists went there, they simply had to report something.

It makes perfect sense ever since Young recovered from whatever knock he picked up against Villa. The laws of space and time do not permit us to have all three wingers fit at the same time.

We should have done the honorable thing and asked Scholes to smash Young in training.

That's a bugger if true he looked great against Everton.

Wouldn't suprise me if it was one of SAFs stunts though.

Fergies just trolling. Clearly challenged nani too walk to the changing rooms to get the bibs, but had too do it with a pimp limp. Press see it happening and get the wrong end of the stick.

Hopefully (hopefully), its the sort of knock he gets often during a match and just runs it off. Maybe, because it's in training, he goes straight to the treatment room.

No doubt someone's going to come on now & tell me that he'd just run off a knock in training too.

I'm really upset about this...:(

Will be a big loss if he doesn't play in this game. He was showing glimpses of his best football again last week, and this game would've been the perfect platform for him to step up to the mark and win it for us.

Most people agree we need 3 in midfield on Mon. But many also felt Welbeck has to play. I wonder if this will encourage SAF to play Rooney on the left wing. Or maybe Welbeck. Instead of Young.

We should not play Rooney out on the wing. Changing our system to go 4-5-1 and be quite defensive is risky enough, however to then drag our best player out of position and lessen his influence is even worse.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if SAF thinks differently tho. Rooney puts a shift in on the wing, keeps the midfield more compact and allows him to play Welbeck. Also, he might have the same concerns some have about Youngs cards being marked if he gets fouled.

I would play young and drop welbeck. Not sure who I'd have as the extra midfielder tho. Probably Clev, but only SAF knows if he's really ready.

I don't think we're really looking for players to put a shift in for this one. If we do want someone who puts a shift in out on the wing, then it would be Park, who does actually play there most of the time.

What we need in this game is players who can make the difference, who can be patient and wait for a chance to come along, and who have the experience and necessary ability to see out the game if need be. Rooney fits into that category when you play him in his best position.
