That's amazing, one thing about Nani is that he's always been extremely productive, think he was one of our most effective players even when he was being slated for his performance on the field.
18 assists in 24 games? That's fantastic.
As someone pointed out, he contributes around 1 goal per game, which is a fantastic stat!
And that'll go up too when his goalscoring gets more consistent. I really think he'll end up a '1 in 2.5 games' scorer in a season or two. Ronaldo who?

Yeh, it was like watching C-Ron. fecking great goal, under a lot of pressure too, had he fecked it up I think Giggs would have thrown a sheep at him, he was in acres.
That goal was very Ronaldo esque, love it
It was rather like Ronaldo's against Fulham in 2007, in that he picked it up in his own half, dribbled past a load of defenders and banged it into the bottom bag.

Still a work in progress. His performances are better than they were without being as good as they can be with his ability. But he's influencing games consistently now. His dead ball taking is so up and down. But it's criminal to hit the first man as often as he does.
He is so frustating. He was constantly on the ball, a constant threat, scored a brilliant goal, good cross for Owen. But the amount of times he puts in crap crosses is huge. He should have set up at least 2 more goals but he didn't beat the first man.

Its true, but if you turn it round and have a player who scores and creates a goal, but the amount of times he put in a wayward shot and could have scored at least 2 more goals but didnt get them on target, you could easily be talking about the average Cristiano Ronaldo match.
A winger needs to produce and Nani is doing it better than any other winger than Malouda at this present time. His corners tend to be crap, but other than Giggs I cant think of a player who has taken corners well for us in the past few years. Carrick was good at them once upon a time but that was ages ago.
Ronaldo produced a lot more though.
It's only frustrating because Nani has so much damn ability that you should expect more. His crossing was woeful today, yet he set up one goal and scored a cracker. He could become top class easily enough though.
He was the only one providing any kind of threat today, and apart from his corners (which were mosty shit), a certain percentage of shite crosses is really what you have to expect from a winger that runs your whole attack.

I'm not critisising him, I'm saying he has the potential the be one of the best players in the world if he sorts out his inconsistency with his crosses. Did you see the cross for Fletcher's goal v Everton and Owen's today? Nani has the potential to put in these types of crosses the whole time. He has the ability to do it. It is frustrating though when he continues to hit the first man 4 times out of 5.
A lot more maturity in his game, he's showing signs of an attacking leader.
