Lucas Moura - (Caf decides he’s naff again) Spurs bound?

I think we've got enough "decent players" - don't need to add anymore, we need more world class players like Pogba and De Gea now to challenge for top honours
 
Thoroughly mediocre player. A brainless pace merchant. I would take back current Nani ahead of him.
 
People are being harsh with him, I would argue that he is in the same range than someone like Cuadrado and he has a room for improvement.

Cuadrado was a disaster in the Premier league. I see him as some one who could probably be a useful player but his lack of a left foot and light weight will be a problem. He is really fast but I can see him struggling to escape with the ball from stiff arms from defenders. Would be very good on the counter though.
 
I just got a headline popup on my phone that they are pushing him to join Liverpool. (Metro)

Agree. Doubt Lucas Moura is going to provide us with much more than we already got. We need real quality.
 
The only thing good is that the Brazilian players love Mourinho.

If City get Sanchez and we sign this guy...

Cuadrado wasn't a disaster, he didn't had any opportunity to settle and I'm specifically talking about his level.

The problem is can we actually get anyone better than him in January.
Sanchez and Bale have rejected us numerous times. Malcom, Guedes, Draxler and Carassco are probably the only ones I can think of. I don't think any of them is better than Lucas for the limited times I have watched them.

If we can get him on a loan, then we could fix both the short term and eventually find a quality right winger who can take us another level.

I still like Lucas, haven't seen much of him recently, but when he's on form, he's pretty difficult to handle.

I don't see the need to bring in someone who is just an option. We need a big upgrade on the wing.

Apart from Malcom, the other 3 are probably better on the left. Guedes is out injured for a while isn't he? He's looked a quality player for Valencia and I can't see him breaking into the fold at PSG with the forwards they have so he's definitely worth a summer move but he hasn't been linked with a move away at all.

Carrasco is much better than Moura, and Draxler is a better player but as a RW probably not.

If he does come in, I doubt it'll be just as an option. He is still a top winger, obviously his game time has limited this season, but he's being doing well in the previous seasons. Of course the French League is weaker argument can be made, but he definitely has the tools to become a top quality player. Mourinho could do with him what he did with Oscar. There are examples of players who struggled for one side and ended up being undroppable in another side of similar status. I like the idea of a loan move for him.
 
Why bring in a player who has rejected us earlier and may be joining now purely because he has no game time at PSG. Would it not be an example for others in the dressing rooms where rejects have now become wanted

This... so much this!!

We have two and a half world class players being these two and Matic. We really need to get one or two players of quality if we are too improve. I mean honestly Martial and Rashford and even Lingaard have potential, but regardless of how good you think they might become they are definitively not WC now. Then we have Mata Miki and Lukaku who are all good.

But honestly we need more players who are world class.
 
He looks like Andros Townsend, but he is Brasilian and play for PSG, those 2 factors is enough to sign him.

He can't possibly in Mourinho's plans as a first teamer. Surely not... he must just be a squad player Moruinho is picking up. Right?

He'd be the only winger at the club in fairness. Unless you still view Young and Tony as wingers.

It's not that he wouldn't give us balance, but I'd be underwhelmed in that he'd be taking up a spot that could be filled by a much better player. Guess we shall see.
 
He's decent. Good player. We should be looking much better though, that is if we want to be competitive at the top.

Our squad is filled with these types of players he’s not going to take us to the next level, it’s buying for the sake of buying and wasting even more money.
 
He's a decent player who will probably have a similar output to someone like Lingard (albeit Lingard having a particularly good season).

It's most likely a short term solution in order to have more options on the right side of attack. Will give us another choice other than Mata cutting inside. Lucas is direct, has good dribbling and pace to burn; offers things Mata can't.
 
Lol. If mahrez is available And we get this guy instead. Jose just dumping his future clubs trash into his future ex club lap. Sneaky sneaky.
