My opinion: do we need right winger? Yes, desperately. Is moura good player. Yes.
But is he top player? I would say no. Our biggest mistake with transfers under lvg was buying good and solid players. We should aim higher .

I think he would be a fan favorite here. He is vastly underrated and has dominated in a few games I have seen.
I must admit I had a huge hardon for him before he joined PSG but at the price quoted I think we should bite their hands off. From a business point of view if he came here and kicked on at 27/28 he would be worth a lot more anyway.

I agree wholeheartedly. But, given that our squad will presumably be stripped this summer (Blind, Darmian, Fellaini, Carrick, Mkhi, maybe others) we will be needing to recruit squad players. If this is our solution to the right wing going forward, I agree, but it may not be. I'm starting to do a 180 on this, on the grounds of him joining as a squad player (though this season, he'd probably be first choice given there's no competition).

Compared to who? They're an improvement on Mata. He's managed better than a goal or assist every 2 starts for PSG. Some seasons closer to every start.

RVP wanted to join the best team to win the league, same as Sanchez, same as most players.
As we're in a league that contains City, who we can't outbid nor offer higher wages, nor pretty much assure anyone who joins will be winning everything every season, how would you go about getting on a par with Bayern? Unless United switch to a league they can financially dominate.
its £50 million for Mahrez, Malcolm is a possibly potentially good player, Bailey isn't available unless you're bidding a huge sum and he's very raw at present.
If Moura is available at the the right price, then it's a no brainer to sign him. He's pretty much what Jose would want for a right wing alternative and by the looks of it he's available now and we have the issue with balance in the team now.
Jose has been good with his purchases so far, so if it's his target and he knows how he'll use him, then get it done as far as I'm concerned.
Zaha is faster, runs in behind and can consistently beat a man. He’s one of the best wingers in the league and never got a shot here.
Would be better then nothing. Could even become a consistent good player here tbf. But I don't think he'd change too much. I'd happily replace Mkhitaryan with him, considering we lack a proper right winger, but then again, he's hardly a proper right winger, more a fast player who plays on the right and likes to drift into the pockets of space. Like a Lingard type player. He's not the type to hug the touchline, whip crosses in like Sane does for City (like what I would really like at United), nor is he a Martial type where he can dribble brilliantly past people.
If we can nab him for 20m euro then it's a no brainer.
If Mahrez is available I'd take him in a heart beat over Lucas Moura surely, even if he is 30m more.

This is ridiculous, yes we need a winger, but should we want your 3rd choice cast off? No, would any of the other top sides in all the leagues want to sign him now? No, Bayern are in desperate need of wingers too to replace their aging ones, are they sniffing around Lucas Moura? No. Why? Because he's just not THAT good, anybody within their right mind shouldn't be asking for Messi but at the same time there are better options for the right wing that aren't Lucas Moura and aren't Lionel Messi.

Hell, we could of bought Julian Draxler before he went to you lot for only £35mill, we could of bought a number of options. What's annoying to me is fans telling people they are spoiled or whatever for not wanting Moura, because it's not like we have a right winger. What people should be worrying about instead is we seem intent on carrying on this tradition of letting our supposed rivals go for the great players or the young talented ones whilst we are stuck in the middle of the road chasing players like Lucas Moura instead, he had his chance to join us years ago and said no, he hasn't kicked on as he should and we are chasing him again now PSG have upgraded. I’m intrigued to see what he could do here. Our widths did delivery on the left will likely be coming from Shaw with Martial going inside. Valencia’s end product is pretty much non existent and both Shaw and Lucas tend to like picking out low balls across the box or cutting it back and that is the kind of service Lukaku will thrive on. So at say 20-25 mil seems like it would be a decent option.

Lozano and Malcom for sure. However, I agree, the better targets won't be available till the summer, which is fine, my overall point was our approach to the market rather than splitting it into a January thing. I have no objections to a loan of Lucas Moura, it was more the point, if we buy this guy for RW now because we are "desperate", we aren't gonna buy another one in the summer of real quality and we'll be stuck with him, where as everyone else we'd like to consider rivals at home and on the continent will strengthen with higher quality players.
