Television Lost: Season 5

Still no word on the 40 minute recap though.

Will have to do without it.

i still dont understand why sayid is against ben ?

and ben only has 70hrs or he can forget about going back to island

feck sake..I ca'nt watch the episodes until I finish this uni assignment that is in tomorrow..

I'm hoping to finish it tonight by say 9..so that I can watch the 2 episodes, if not, it'll be tomorrow morning :(

Great start. I really like the time travel stuff.

And btw who the feck is Jeremy? I must have missed something.

Jeremy Benthem, they used it as Locke's alias after he died as to not alert people.

SPOILERS BELOW

Brilliant start, that woman at the end is the one Desmond saw when he had that freaky time travel episode.

As with LOST, more questions

- Who are those extremely British island people that Locke owned?
- Is the Island jumping back between two different periods or loads of them?
- Who is that woman at the end and how does she know so much? (See the Desmond crazy time travel ep for more)

Loved that the Neill guy got arrowed  Seems they made him a bit of a dick so we didn't feel sorry for him when he died.

it seems like they're going to be back on the island with a couple of episodes given the 70hr deadline by that women in the end. I think she's like the architect from matrix.

- Is the Island jumping back between two different periods or loads of them?

its hard to tell as of now. they got attacked by dharma people in the end and probably the hostiles attacked them before judging that they used arrows.

did anyone notice in season 1 when locke and boone saw the plane for the first time? when locke was going to the plane then his leg got paralyzed and so boone had to climb which led to his death. I think locke's leg injury has got something to with him getting shot in the same location by ethan. some time paradox perhaps

Work done!

Time for Lost...is worth watching the re-cap or not?

I think that the british guy in the end might be Charlotte's dad or something.

Richard is just so awesome, i dont know why. Didn't he show that compass to Locke when Locke was a kid?

dont think he met him as a kid. Are you thinking of Ben?

Very good start to the series, exactly what was needed.

think he did, wasn't it richard who went to locke's house as a child and asked him if remembered any of the 3 objects, one being the compass? I'm pretty sure it was.

Great to have lost back, especially with two brilliant opening episodes.

Good start to the season. I recognised te woman at the end, thought that was good. I reckon the time-loop theory's not far off; the whole 'record-skipping' thing Daniel was talking about seems to fit with it as well.

the compasses are different.

the retro record player in marvin candle's room also started skipping or it just got stuck :smirk:

SPOILER.
The 'british guy' was actually a woman. It was Faradays mum! Desmond has to go meet her to find out what he has to do to save the people on the island from getting trapped in between time and space.

Its like they are going over and over the same time period until something breaks the loop.

Its why he said the camp might be there, or it may have vanished again. Its why the hatch had exploded, and then been repaired...and its why Richard wont remember Locke.

SPOILERS (AGAIN)

A possible explanation for the extremely british people are that they work for Penny's dad. And they actually used to run the island before the Others took over, and moved the island so that he couldnt find it again.

The island is on a set time line (the peice of string analogy that Faraday used) and is just jumping forwards then when it gets to a certain point, it goes back...exactly like the skipping record.

The woman at the end is Faradays mum. She is the woman that Desmond has to get in touch with (like Faraday said before the time shifted again).

You see the idea is for them to get everyone back to the island and stop these loops before people start dying (see the ginger haired womans nose bleeds) Thats why they have a time limit.

Jeremy Benthem, they used it as Locke's alias after he died as to not alert people.

All the people who are still supposed to be on the island use real names when travelling back to the 'real world'. It would be strange if he walked around being called John Locke, when supposedly he's meant to be dead. The death happened after.

SPOILER.
The 'british guy' was actually a woman. It was Faradays mum! Desmond has to go meet her to find out what he has to do to save the people on the island from getting trapped in between time and space.

I meant the guys who attacked Sawyer and Juliette. Or was it the leader of them who got stabbed?

Moreover, Sun's role is interesting. She may act like a mole for Charles Widmore.

i dont know why she wants to kill ben ?? how could she possibly know that ben killed keamy? only locke could have told her when he visited her and the remaining O6.

i reckon O6 would be back on the island by episode 4 taking into account the time limit of 70hrs that mrs.hawkings gave to ben.

i wouldn't be surprised if ben and jack make sayid unconscious and take him to the island with them.

Spoilers!

She wants to kill Ben because it was him who had the guy on the boat who set the charges which eventually killed Jin.

It wouldn't surprise me if they began to kidnap the people and take them back to the island. Although I can see Sayid and Kate being talked around by Jack. Sun will find her way there as she needs to get close to Ben to kill him. The only issue is Hurley being locked up! However I suppose that they could break him out before he gets sentanced...

HsJ, just to make sure; you don't know anymore than the rest of us, right? You're just speculating and catching up on stuff which we have all seen.

I'm only asking because I can't recall some of the stuff you've mentioned, and I don't want to read spoilers about future episode - like stuff you might have read somewhere.

Yeah I haven't read anything. Just speculation and what I understand has happened so far!

I wouldn't post any real stories or actual spoilers...I find it well annoying. Just wrote spoiler on it because some people like to make their own minds up about some of the stuff, thats all...

The point about the charges on the boat was that, Ben had a mole on the boat, who blew it up from what I remember of the last season. (wasnt it micheal?) And as Jin died on the boat, Sun wants to kill ben?
