Television Lost: Season 5

That's conclusion I came to, after US audience failed to appreciate Arrested Development. :)

Is there like a LOST quiz of all the seasons so far? I reckon I would own it.

Who was the first to die from the Losties?

Depends how you mean.

I'm pretty sure a woman drowned on the first day, Jack saved Claire but couldn't get her.

If you mean more specific characters then it's either The Marshall or Boone, depending on whether you think the Marshall is a Lostie.

There's also the pilot, which to my surprise when rewatching a few months back is Greg Grunberg from Heroes.

i think mrs.hawkings is desmonds mother. the writers like to confuse us and it would be too obvious for her to be faraday's mother.

How would that be possible? :confused:Desmond met her in that episode about time and the universe cause correction thing. You would think he would know that that was his own mother, but he seemed to have no idea of who she was.

I cant muster an iota of interest anymore. Im going to watch it again this week but if it doesnt improve Im going to quit watching it. I should have done it ages ago.

Leave the thread then.

So essentially you're addicted..want to stop watching..but can't.

See you at the Season Finale

Season 4 and 5 (so far) have been top. I can kind of see people's points on the odd episode in S3, but other than that it's very hard to criticise Lost - which has kept us all guessing, whilst still managing to provide answers nearly every episode

its wank for you because your thick and you fit crappy's criteria ;)

I've heard rumours of online links to the show doing the rounds - I want to remind you that this is absolutely despicable behaviour, and if any were to find their way into my PM box, I would have no choice but to contact the relevant authorities.

This early?

I'll be watching it tomorrow afternoon :D

Just finished watching it.. some nice surprises in this one :D

squeaky bum time

dont read below those who haven't seen the episode

they're in timeline of season 1
then they're in the future and being by someone from the future (most probably themselves) in boats

claire's mother also has the same lawyer.
miles and juilet are also having nosebleeds...apparently the people who've stayed longest on the island have nosebleeds first. miles is dr.candles son?

I have recently come to the conclusion that Lost is complete and utter wank.

It wasnt always. But it certainly is now.
This is total bullshit, on the order of "Sack Fergie, sell Giggs." There are elements of the show being revealed now that point to the writers setting things up YEARS in advance. I've no doubt that most of the mysteries that they have left hanging will be solved.

We will find out about what really happened to Rousseau and her crew, and I bet we'll travel back to the Black Rock days.

Time-loop theory's best of the lot I reckon.

http://www.timelooptheory.com/

That's a good theory, never thought of it.

Good episode, not as good as last weeks, but still very good.

Not sure I'm liking the fact that when they go back in time they CAN meet themselves and say shit to them, I assumed that from what Faraday was saying that this wasn't possible, so if it is it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

I can see my exppressing an honest opinion about Lost has angered a few people. I will do as has been suggested and remove myself and my clear stupidity out of the thread.

Cheerio.

I don't think anyone mentioned 'stupidity'. There's just no point in saying how much you hate the show in a thread for people who like watching Lost. Frankly, it's annoying, so yes, you should feck off.

Spoilers:

Decent episode. Probably the slowest of the season so far.

So young Rouseau and the frechies found Jin.

When old Rouseau was at the camp with her rifle with all the losties then surely she saw Jin? Wouldnt this have some messed up implications? Wouldnt she have asked him what he was doing on the island such a long time ago?

Might be like with Desmond. She'd remember it in the future... But in the past...

Then again Daniel said that Desmond was special, 'outside' time or something.

I'm assuming they can only speak to them if it doesn't mess up what has already happened, for example if Sawyer walked in on the birth, Kate would just think it's Sawyer from 2004, etc... the island finds a way to make it work. If for example he tried to feck things up by shooting Kate for whatever reason, his gun would jam, etc...

By tis reasoning we could look back at season 1 episodes and realize some of the characters we were actually seeing were future Losties, that's a proper headfeck  Maybe the reason why Locke was so wise early on.

Perhaps she didn't remember him, it was 16 years til she eventually met them.

That's a good theory actually. Time travel in shows very rarely works out and makes sense, so hopefully the writers will ensure that is it somewhat fathomable.

Interesting thing on the whispers as well, I doubt it's true though, and if it is it'd be a bit daft, because those 'whispers' are not just people saying stuff in the background watching on, they're something entirely different.
