London 2012 - Track & Field/Athletics

The French are ridiculously bad losers, they were hinting nasty things about the Brit cyclists too.

That was a cracking 100m Hurdles final from the women there... New OR set, and 2nd place broke the previous OR as well.

Yeah, in the rain as well. Pearson has the ability to get down towards the world record (12.21).

Mo was through n third place in his 5,000m heat this morning.

Some signs of fatigue i thought which is only to be expected, although he seemed happy enough in his interview afterward.

The 5,000m will be more challenging for him. A number of runners have gone sub-12.50 this year and his own PB is 'only' 12.53.

Allowed back as he had a doctors note saying he was injured....dodgy fecking doctor if you ask me. Got to be looked at.
The stupidity was disqualifying him in the first place, he just dropped out of the 800m to concentrate on the 1500m. The authorities clearly saw commonsense and allowed the fake 'injury'.

Yes he'll be hoping for a tactical and cagey final you'd think, no?

The 5 and 10k double is so rarely achieved to begin with.

Mens 200m semi's tonight in about 10 mins, isn't it?

Time for Bolt to go for a jog now then?

Yohan Blake going to storm the first semi final here, I can feel it.

What the feck was Blake doing at the end there?

Blake, wtf?!

He basically stopped there.

20.01.... he's got a sub-19.2 in him.

Time for Bolt to have a go then, provided he doesn't decide to stop like Blake did then we should see him win easily.

feck sake the interviewer could at least have asked him what he was playing at near the end of the race.

Nice little jog for Bolt there.

The ease with which he ran that suggests he could go sub 19 at some point

Bolt started jogging from 100m.. then it looked like the guy to his left would catch up.. quickened.. then jogged again

Bolt just takes the piss. One thing you notice with him as well, is that he is a huge guy in comparison to all the others.

The finals is in 20 mins, correct? need to find a tv quick.

What final? There is more than one final going on. I assume you mean the 200m final with Bolt and Blake in which case no it is not on in 20 mins, it is on tomorrow.

Yeah, meant the 200m final. For some reason thought it was today and was suprised why they would run again so soon after the semi-finals. Thanks mate.

Allyson Felix moves brilliantly. She's like a CGI Gazelle crossed with the T-1000 from Terminator 2 crossed with an alright looking bird.

Blake has white looking stretchies on his arms close to his shoulders. He's quite a big looking sprinter so guess he has blown up in a short space of time to get those. He's like a little Rhino, would be funny if he beat Bolt. Bolt is way too cocky.

It's going to be an amazing race tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised if Blake and Bolt both smash the world record. They'll both break the Olympic record I am sure.

Bolt will win it though. Outside of trials, he hasn't lost a race on 200m in 5 years. This is his main discipline.

Watching the women's high jump right now. The Greek one is fit.

Still boggles my mind that women are jumping 2 meters.

What time is the 200m final at?
