London 2012 - Track & Field/Athletics

To think that 4-5 years ago I didn't like his "antics", he is sensational and he came out from a difficult season. This guy with the right wind and a good start can beat his WR

Why is Inverdale wearing pyjamas?

fecking brilliant, how quick would Bolt be if he could start properly?

Which BBC pundit called 9.64? What a shout that was.

Well, isn't it that he starts slow because he's so tall? and of course, if he wasn't so tall... he wouldn't be as quick!

Johnson's reaction in Beijing when Bolt destroyed the world record was proper hyped was it not?

Whats changed?

I remember M.Johnson saying a few years ago that no one was ever gonna break his WR on 200m and Bolt smashed it twice. The bitterness despite being ridiculous is understandable

Johnson's clearly still a tad bitter.

Bolt is an incredible athlete. Shame he didn't set a new WR but I'm almost certain he will soon. He just needs a "perfect race" in terms of execution. At the moment he is setting crazy times despite faults, ridiculous

Bolt could give the others a two-metre start & still win. Incredible.

I'm torn as to who the most talented sportsman in the world is. Is it Bolt or Messi?

FFS Johnson's not bitter at all. He's said multiple times he's the greatest sprinter of all time.

I think Micheal Johnson is a great pundit. That clip of him last night when Mo Farah was winning is brilliant.

What happens if he doesn't? Does that mean Jamaica withdraw?

They have other runners so one will slot in. However, with three fast Americans (those in the 100m final) the 4x100 should be close.

There will be many great future sprinters, but not many of them will be like Bolt... anyone else watch the little segment showing where he grew up, and the medical clinic that took care of him in his childhood? Really touching and shows why he is so popular... he's got a great personality.

It's pretty stupid to try and compare Messi to Bolt. One is very physically gifted with world class technical excellence, the other is physically perfect for his sport with dare I say less need for technical excellence to the extent that even with a poor start he still destroyed the field, not trying to do a disservice to either of them.
