Problem with the front wheel of the bike looked like something locked up or failed just after the start.

I can certainly understand why, because if a country has a track record of blood doping (I think 10-12 years ago China produced swimmers who were tested positive on several occasions and in a few swimmers), you would be more skeptical. They are at least applying the rules fairly across the whole teams and they are clear as to how to do the change over. One of the Chinese women has walked off in a huff and doesn't want to collect their medal, compare this to Pendleton who accepted her dq and took it without complaint showing class in how she handled the dissapointment.

She didnt want to do interviews which is fair enough it was her home Olympics so she was upset, she didn't storm off looking like she was going to refuse to take part in the medal ceremony because she has been demoted.
