Loic Remy

He will have a perfect view of Eva Carneiro arse from the bench.

I still want to know what went down in the medical he had with us. Instantly linked to Chelsea, signs for Chelsea no problem.

People saying he's "ruined his career" by joining them must be pretty thick. Likewise the people saying he'll be permanently stuck on the bench like Ba was.

They'll probably play nearly 60 matches again this season and there's no way Costa is playing nearly all of them. Now they have a very solid striker that can be trusted to start a good amount of games if Costa needs a rest or is injured.

Unlike Ba who has the coordination and balance of a toddler, Remy actually has pace and can run well with the ball. Can also play him with another striker if you want to.

Well put.

He's going to be a tidy player for them, rotation at least. Much better than having to rely on Torres.

Looking at Arsenal, they'd have loved a striker of his calibre to start today over Sanogoals.

But but i thought Jose said he was done in this transfer window.

A Liverpool supporting mate said there are rumors he failed his Líverpool medical because of him having smoked weed during his summer vacation and THC being found in his piss / blood during the medical. Has anyone else heard this?

Yep, that was doing the rounds on twitter a couple of weeks ago. No one reputable has reported it though.

Even if he plays baked I'm sure he will be more useful than Torres

Torres should play baked - he can't possibly get any slower, and at least he will be calm and not snatch/bottle his chances.

I've played indoor futsal baked a few times, and I played like Pirlo (in my mind).

I played after taking LSD once, I scored 4 chickens past the toiletkeepers monkey but we still lost H-G :(

Remy for £10.5m is a bargain.

Yes he will more than likely get more than 15 goals a season, can't understand why Liverpool Didn't wrap him up when they had the chance, I prefer remy to ballotelli

Chelsea 'accept Leicester City offer for Loic Remy'

Chelsea are thought to have accepted a bid of £11.5m from Leicester City for striker Loic Remy.

The 29-year-old moved to the London side from Queens Park Rangers in 2014 but has found game time hard to come by, featuring ten times for the Blues in the league this season, nine of them as a substitute.

According to talkSPORT reporter Ben Jacobs, the Foxes attempted to take Remy on a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy, but were told by Chelsea that the only offer on the table was a permanent move.

League leaders Leicester have been in the market for another striker as backup to prolific duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez following the loan exit of Andrej Kramaric to Hoffenheim.

Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Manchester City had also been credited with an interest in Remy

Going from champions to playing second fiddle to Jamie fecking Vardy!

Looks like Leicester is seriously going for the title. 11.5m for a 29 year old is not a small investment for a club their side, especially in January, TV deal or not.

As they should imo. They are highly unlikely to be ever in this position again. They should go all out for the title

Yeah, it's a sizable punt for them but if it works out they'll have pulled off the impossible. Worst case scenario they are stuck with him for a few years, not such a big deal, especially with CL money coming in if they can keep it up.

No sure thing though, mind. The league is still very very close at this point and for all of our feck up we are still in the race for at least top 4. A couple of loss on the bounce and things can unravel fast for them.

Remy will do ok over there. He's a decent striker in his prime and only have Vardy in front of him. Should get enough game time.

What are we doing? Why are we selling all our players and replacing them with over the hill players? What's the thinking?

Still hate that we couldn't shift Borini (as he refused to be sold) and bring Remy in with a £4m profit  A good little player, and a good move for Leicester.

Great business by them imo. They can't afford even a tiny Vardy drought again if they're going to win the thing.
