Liverpool's inevitable q̶u̶a̶d̶r̶u̶p̶l̶e̶ tr̶i̶p̶l̶e̶ dibble/ The Hala Madrid Thread

Bastards just won’t go away. In reality thought, for scum to win the league they need to win their last game whilst hoping City can’t beat Villa at home and overturn a 6 GD deficit.

Goal difference won't make any difference now unless villa beat city and pool draw v wolves, both highly unlikely.

imagine being a Everton fan (you can stop it there) and seeing them get relegated I’m the same season as Liverpool winning a quadruple.:nervous:
Absolute nightmare that would be and tbh I still can't even believe we are talking about you guys being relegated. Seems like hiring an ex Liverpool cnut wasn't such a good idea after all who would have thought. Your owners should have sacked him way earlier.

They are not winning the league.

Now they have to play another competitive game on Sunday-so more fatigue before the Champions league final!

Agent Rafa will be on the bus for sure. :D

Imagine if it's the 90th minute and City are drawing and Mahrez steps up to take a penalty

Could not believe when I saw Mahrez stepping up to take the pen v west ham, I absaloutely knew he would miss it. He fecked up that chance in the last minute v Liverpool a few months ago and missed that pen v them a few seasons back.

KDB will ruin their league challenge. Everything is still in City's hands and they're at home. Very confident City will win the league.

Madrid will be a hard game, that one is tougher to call. Can see Liverpool getting the first goal and overwhelming them with their press but you can just never write this Madrid team off.

I see City smashing Villa like 3-0 in the first 30 minutes. No way Liverpool will get a miracle, Gerrard will have a first row seat to see how City win another PL TBH.

For me is a win-win situation. If Shitty chokes, that could have a lasting impact on Pep and them, if they don't, Liverpool doesn't win the title. Neither outcome willl make me sad.

Would agree if they weren't on verge of a quadruple but they are so there is only one outcome I want to see. I might feel differently otherwise and most certainly would want pool to win league if it was to prevent city doing a quadruple.

True.

If you can’t win it, you definitely don’t want to lose it on the final day. That’s the only good thing about today.

Any team been closer to the quadruple?

2 games now....

City failing to beat a below-average Villa side that has nothing to play for besides pride will be questionable as feck.

As it's all set up for Gerrard to be the hero, how convenient.

What’s our constellation prize if liverpool don’t win the league? City winning it.. fantastic. What a time to be a United fan.

Absolute nightmare if Liverpool win it but let's be honest if this City team can't beat Villa at home with a title on the line then they simply don't deserve it and can go feck off.

Last season I kept hoping City would win but reality is you are chosing between vomit or shit so at the end of the day yes I will be upset if Liverpool win but a couple of months later I'll be over it. Football is so horribly crap these days that I honestly could care less.

I’d rather have someone vomit on me than shit on me. Go City.

A few weeks ago I would've said Liverpool to win the CL comfortably, now not so sure with fatigue piling up and City dragging the title race on.

Liverpool are winning games by the odd goal but I think Benzema can and will stretch their defence. Not to mention Liverpool's midfield will feel leggy.

Klopp has done a great job managing his squad and pushing the title race to the final day. Yet it's crazy despite all the records broken he could end up with one league title in seven seasons. Mourinho had three in five seasons at Chelsea and Wenger had three in his first eight at Arsenal by contrast.

We get to go to work, walk down the street and turn on the TV without being faced with a sickening scouse love-fest that will continue until the day we leave this mortal coil.

Is that prize enough for you?

Have you been talking to @Scarlett Dracarys ? :D

Pool didn't make the dent in the goal difference that they needed to tonight. Villa are going to have to beat City for them to win the league I think.

Nope, if man city draw and Liverpool win then Liverpool win the title. Man city drawing with west ham didn't help really.

Or it could be a quad and we’ll have to listen how he’s the greatest manager of all time. Or he’ll win the Champions League for the second time in three years.

If it wasn’t for a financially doped City, Liverpool would be about to win 23. It’s so grim how utterly shit and far away we are.

That only really kind of mattered if City lost to be fair. It'd be beyond hysterical if Gerrard somehow pulls off the insane win and then Liverpool only draw. I mean, I'd probably just retreat to wherever JD Salinger lived if I was Gerrard, it's just no meant to happen, so his dream job would be pointless.

But if Villa even get the draw, while Liverpool will win. I'm off to wherever JD Salinger lived.

What kind of table are you even watching right now?

Liverpool wins and City draw, all it takes, goal difference won't matter.

Ugh. I mean City should win comfortably but anything can happen on the final day when the pressure is on.

I think it helps a lot that we were able to/forced to leave out so many tonight. The one thing you have to worry about with Madrid is that even in a game you're comfortable in, they can turn it on for 5 minutes and you're suddenly losing. Looking forward to that one but I do think we're a slightly better team than they are right now.

With Sir Alex leaving and the Glazers still here it was completely expected for most of us we would fall of a cliff. What was not expected though was Liverpool getting Klopp. That's the worst part. Because if it wasn't already tedious enough that City dominated now we have the scouse cnuts as well so for us United fans its really the worst case scenario where the 2 teams we despise most keep lining up silverware.

At least for Liverpool fans they only had to worry about us when we were dominating under Sir Alex. The equivalent for them is if both us and Everton kept winning title after title during their miserable years.

Villa are 15/1 to win with the bookies and 7/1 to draw, and rightly so. They're going to get easily brushed aside. With KDB rested (he usually looks worse when he plays midweek and then weekends) they'll create loads.

The only hope they'd have is if Villa used the Tottenham framework of sitting back and hitting fast on the counter, West Ham used it too. But I don't think Gerrard has the tactical nous for it, he'll setup with Watkins and Ings and try and play as normal and get torn apart.
