Liverpool are the luckiest club in the league and it will never end

I fecking hate everything about them. My hate for Liverpool FC far surpasses my love for United these days. It’s visceral.
very sad in all reality, I noted to stop engaging when you started the 'Liverpool VAR' thread. How can you despise a club more than you support your own? not even healthy, too much hatred. I'm guessing and hoping you are young and will grow over the years to realise this shouldn't consume you so much. Over and out.

Bore off, you’re spending your Saturday night trying to get on a high horse on a rival forum. Give your head a wobble

I don't think he means more than he supports United as a club, it's not easy to enjoy or have any respect for United as a cooperation right now with the Glazers still sucking the life out of us, what I reckon he means. Over a decade of managerial and player recruitment that'd make you believe it's one of you lot are running/destroying the club and not actual experienced football men who are supposed to know what they're doing. On top of that we have to watch you cnuts walk the league without a challenge, after departing with Klopp. Excuse us if we're angry.

It certainly is! I checked to see if my own bias was getting in the way. Liverpool’s penalties received over the previous 5 seasons, compared to other teams, have put them in;
5th
12th
5th
8th
7th, respectively

Although they are joint first with Bournemouth this season, on 7.

If anything that is slightly lower than I’d expect from a team regularly finishing in the top 4, and almost always being in the top 3 or 4 scorers/ chance creators.
Did you pull those from your arse?

Liverpool are top with 9 and Bournemouth on 6. Presumably the rest are similar.

Not including cup games.

I wonder if a rival manager will call this out like Klopp did when United had a little run? Probably not but Liverpool have “dignity”.

In premier league history they are 1 behind Chelsea and 14 ahead of United, in a period where United dominated for 20;.

Is it surprising that current Liverpool outperforms current Man United in the competition for @Pexbo's attention?

Players used to get sent off for intent.

I said seemed to but it's difficult to prove. He was probably closer to kicking the ball then to kicking the player to be honest.

I was more surprised Anderson got away with nothing for booting Foden with the follow through in the earlier game. We've definitely seen reds for those types of challenges.

I don't think it was difficult to prove. It was very obvious. He has form for playing the man and having no interest in the ball. I remember the incident with De Ligt at Anfield a couple of months ago.

I haven't seen the Anderson one. I'll check it out.

That second was never a penalty imo.

Both players running at full pace, Diaz can't get past Sugwara and gives him a nudge in the back and the ball then hits his elbow.

It’s just ridiculous to get a penalty for something like that. I think there’s a thread about punishment for some hand balls being unfair, couldn’t agree more but it goes beyond hand balls. Penalties carry a 70% chance of a goal, I’d really like to see them only given when it’s clear that the attacker had a great chance of scoring.

That was the most blatant handball I have ever seen. He pushed the ball with his forearm with obvious intent. Did you even watch the replay? It took the ref all of 10 seconds to call it after replaying it. This moaning leading up to the title is just gonna keep ramping up to a fever pitch isn’t it. It’s like panic stations at every decision.

VVD elbow on Richardlidson

Konate v Wolves

Konate v PSG

Nunez today

If it was any other club the player would've received a straight red

At what point does the rest of the footballing world say enough is enough?

Surely the game cannot continue with these constant ridiculous decisions going in favour of Liverpool week after week.

Something has to be done.

Is a total strike until change is implemented the answer?

That was just an extremely dumb handball. He very clearly makes the contact on purpose. Sugawara did similar when they played Southampton away this season.

They're top on xPoints as well as in reality, the rest of the league been shite this season as much as they've been lucky.

I think a few Scouse on here are begging for another cull.

I can’t stand Liverpool… the club, the players, the ex players and the fans. Uch a fi

I think everyone recognises that. They're by far the best team around, which isn't saying much, but they're also very fortunate in some decisive moments.

It’s been mental season for them. See,s every game that dubious decision go there way.

Nunes booted someone in the air. No attempt at ball. Both pens were a bit nothing, happen and don’t get given lots. For all three decisions to go Liverpool way in one game is bizarre, but happening every week. Explain how Konate v PSG is not foul and red ?

Makes no sense.

Who do you want to strike? Players, fans, owners?

You make your own luck, I HATE Liverpool and seeing them win the 20th title pains me (I was so happy when they went out of the FA cup as it meant they couldn’t win the Quadruple or the proper Treble) but you can’t deny they are the best team in the country this season. I’ve supported United since the early 90’s, when we were dominating people said we got all the decisions. It has been ever thus, but it doesn’t account for a 16 point gap. They are just very good unfortunately, a well run club and they got the right bald Dutchman.

They are undoubtedly the best team in what is a very average premier league. What irks me is how the media stroke themselves in to oblivion over them in a way we were never when we dominated much tougher competitions.

The media have to do that, they are selling you a product and their product is stories.

They can't sell "this year is a bit substandard and any trophy winners are kind of insignificant " because it doesn't sell.

The story has to be, this is the most ever, this is history being written in front of our eyes. Hence why everything i read is about Salah and 3 trophies for Liverpool. Until it all goes tits up and they switch the story to "the most amazing collapse football has ever seen".

Its always been this way, the reason you dont feel the same about the media in SAFs time is because you agreed with the story. Which makes you just like every football fan.

Sick of Salah’s grinning mug. Where’s Madrid or Barca when you really need them?

It’s from the Transfer Market stats page I think.
