He wasn't that bad... he did guide us to a "famous victory" over Bolton Wanderers so there's thatHodgson was awful in every way. Dark humour was the only respite.
They'll smash the record. Every team they play is beat mentally before a whistle is even blown.
Looks like they are going for the record alright, league won months ago and Klopp has chosen to pick his strongest starting 11 for each game when he really should be starting fringe players.
The thing about unbeaten runs is once a team loses it can be hard to get back into the swing of winning. Happened to Arsenal and even Real Madrid in 2017. Stuttered their way towards the end of the season. That's always been the case with teams who go on these type of runs. Was the same with Arsenal. Has been that way with City too. I remember when we used to already have the upper hand in games purely because of the aura.
Didn't we end the Arsenal run with Rooney diving for a pen?
They seem to be superhuman. They manage games and conserve their energy very well these days, but it does seem strange they're resting so few players. They should be aiming for the treble and it seems a little implausible their core players won't start to run out of steam by April if they don't give them proper rest time.
Didn't Mané pull a hamstring 30 minutes into the Wolves match? They seem to be superhuman.
I that's why Klopp went to Doha to play Monterrey (who?) and Flamengo.

Yeah, Liverpool and Manchester City dominate English football while we're terrible. Only needs Leeds to complete some kind of trifecta from hell. These cnuts just won’t lose a game will they, the worst thing about us turning to shit is it coincides with these lot becoming great. It’s like some sick joke.
We're as pissed off as you are about it but I'd have preferred him to buy a foreign club as we'd probably have a couple of Premier League winners medals already if he hadn't decided on the plastic blue clubYeah, Liverpool and Manchester City dominate English football while we're terrible. Couldn't that effing sheikh have bought.. any other club, really? Something like Newcastle or Norwich or Leicester. But nooooo it had to be Manchester fecking City.
Probably not nearly as pissed off as we are. It's as if United and Everton fought for the title while you had Roy Hodgson. Try to imagine that. We're as pissed off as you are about it but I'd have preferred him to buy a foreign club as we'd probably have a couple of Premier League winners medals already if he hadn't decided on the plastic blue club
They played yesterday on 4 days rest, and dont have another league game until next Wednesday. I expect Klopp to rest the starters in the FA Cup. I really don't mind Klopp playing the starters now since they're getting adequate rest. I want to guarantee as many points as possible now, so there's more flexibility to rotate when the schedule gets crowded around champions league games. They manage games and conserve their energy very well these days, but it does seem strange they're resting so few players. Kind of fecked up that they just need a draw in their next game to have twice as many points as we do, after 24 games... Embarrassing.
Not losing at the etihad is a big ask.9 to go. Actually think they’ll do it now. Was hoping this thread would serve as a jinx but those hopes have been extinguished.
Not losing at the etihad is a big ask.
Crystal Palace managed it.Not losing at the etihad is a big ask.
City are well-oiled. Amarite?!Normally I’d agree but City are a level below this season. Perhaps if the unbeaten record starts to play on your teams mind and alters their mentality somewhat they could lose it, but I doubt it. You’re a well oiled machine.

We needed a strong team to beat wolves.
Our upcoming run of league games until we play man City at the start of April are
West Ham
Southampton
Norwich
West Ham
Watford
Bournemouth
Everton
Crystal Palace
That's the time for rotating players I reckon.
Not good enough, I'm hoping for Utd to be mathematically unable to catch us as soon as possible (February).
Other than trying to break records why did you need to beat Wolves? A simliar strong team was selected at home to Sheffield United recently let's not forget. We needed a strong team to beat wolves.

Also a strong team. Our last 6 league games have all been against top 8 teams.A simliar strong team was selected at home to Sheffield United recently let's not forget.
Because the league's not won until it's won. Last season's near miss is felt so acutely that you don't take chances with the City team even with a double-figure lead.Other than trying to break records why did you need to beat Wolves?
I think comparatively most of the times we won the league it was a much lower points total than chelsea, City and soon to be you. Relatively often under Fergie we would start the season off relatively slowly and end incredibly strong. It’s seeming more and more like you just can’t do that anymore - the level of consistency you need throughout an entire season is higher.Saw on another site that we've got as many wins in January as Utd did in the whole of the 98/99 season. It's true, I just googled it.
