Liverpool 2024-25 | Inevitably winning a..."treble"

They have won 14 out of 16 games this season. They will win most of those games. If they beat City its all over. Plus City have to beat Spurs to stay in it. Which is unlikely. Its over IMO.

This is silly, we are not even halfway through the season and we know Salah and VVD's tired 33 year old legs will start to struggle as the season goes on

The only consolation Liverpool wining the title is not seeing those cringy fist pumps and artificial white teeth all over the place. Klopps stock will have fallen rapidly! Thank feck!

This, I don't actually mind Slot.

Klopp was insufferable.

They seemed to have ground out results and relied on luck in some of them rather than blowing teams apart. Even today Villa had their chances. I don’t think it’s as clear cut them winning it but they have been doing well so far.

Regardless of how well they play, they're getting wins. They've grinded out wins against the likes of Palace and Villa. Then they've played well against Leverkusen. There are some similarities to their title win in 2020.

There is still a long way to go, and at some point their luck will turn, but they are title contenders

Thread needs an edit to quadruple. Who other than themselves can stop Liverpool from winning the quadruple this season now?

People panicking as usual. I don’t think they are as good as the results make them look out to be. They’ll falter I’m sure of it. Relax, have some patience and just wait. They are grinding out the results. Will soon hit the roadblock.

I hate this shit so much. Almost every year by October or November the league season's objective turns to "hold your nose and cheer for City so that Liverpool don't win the league".

If this was supposed to be some kind of double bluff, voodoo thread….

So annoying seeing them lose Klopp and not drop off. Relatively few signings and a manager that not many fancied yet they’re smashing it. Gravenberch looks brilliant, Salah already on 10 goals 10 assists….i mean what player do we have that could be anywhere near 20 ga at the start of November

So frustrating after we’ve fecking blown it year after year

The way they haven't even missed a beat after bringing in the bald guy is pretty frustrating.

Game week 11 now and they have still only played 1 of the top 12 away from home, and 2 of the top 16.
I'm clinging on desperately to the fact they have some tough away games to come at some point.....surely......

It's really frustrating. When will we hire a bald Dutch manager straight from the Eredivisie?

Yup. I hate how they’re doing well under Slot. I was hoping that they’d have a season similar to the one we had under Moyes, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like that’s happening. It just further proves how fecking awful the Glazers and how Fergie was indeed the GOAT manager.

How does Slot taking Pool to a win prove Glazers were awful? I don’t think he brought in any players this summer. If anything it shows Slot is good and the squad Klopp left behind is good - not something we can say about Moyes.

Slot as was the case with Klopp is managing a well run club. United are the very opposite, Ferguson held the ship together, left behind a squad that wrapped up the Premier league title in April. Moyes was never a suitable replacement it was similar mistake Liverpool themselves made when appointing Graeme Souness and that set the ball rolling for them to go from club that was dominating to mediocre and no longer challenging for major honours.

I think we can all agree that Moyes was never the right appointment. I think we can Also all agree that Woodward was also never the right appointment.

These two decisions got united from champions to outside of the top 4 in 1 season and we have never recovered.

Just seen the two penalties Villa could have had. If they keep getting decisions like that, they'll win it all.

Need them to have a poor result in the PL asap. Their form and lead is getting absurd now.

What really pisses me off is how the year City drop off, Arsenal also crumble. What a weak title challenger they’re turning out to be.

They'll get to 21 before us
If they can get to 20 this season or even within the next 3-4 years, there’s no doubt they’ll build a lead as we look more than a decade away from any league title.

I maintained my opinion throughout every point last season that they won't win it and finish third comfortably behind Arsenal and City, even when it looked like they could win the thing.

Thankfully, that turned out to be spot on, but sadly, I can see a world where they win it this season, although I'm not sure why the caf is acting like they've won it already after 11 games played. Is it the usual doom and gloom mentality setting in?

I wouldn't even consider them favorites just yet. Arsenal and City will both inevitably wake up and start racking up points, whereas Liverpool will be due to start dropping off at some point.

It’s over, they have actually won the league by end of November.

I’m furious that the big bald headed one is actually going to walk to league in his first season. Talk about having all the luck.

Yup. It makes City’s downfall less likely to enjoy when it seems like these fecking thundercunts are going to match our title count this season.

Obviously concerned - look at the table...

But don't think they will, very tough December. I'll be worried if they are 7 clear in Jan. Either way they won't 'run away with it'. Could be a 85 point winner.

I've backed Arsenal.

I hope that Arsenal win it. They’re by far the least of the three evils.

Absolutely.

Arsenal the preference.
City more annoying than usual as 5 in a row would hurt a bit.
Liverpool always hell. feck that.
Pretty much. Although City have already broken one of our records with their 4 in a row so them winning 5 in a row wouldn’t hurt as much.

Season 2019/20

Liverpool then after 12 games had 34 points

Man City had 25 points then after 12 games.

Liverpool will move onto 31 points today.

Man City are currently on 23 points

League is won lads just a matter of who can stop them from winning the quadruple now..

The only downside to Citys collapse is liverpool winning the league :(

What else does your crystal ball say?

They will win the league thats written by the higher ups. Pens to get results, City with a battle against the FA the rest of the league struggling to get results consistently. Plus the Premier league needs a different winner to stop City's dominanace of it and have it like other leagues in Europe keeps everyone happy while there updating there product which came out this week.

What's Slotts win percentage now? Fecking ridiculous how jammy these guys are, everything just literally "Slotts" into place perfectly.

Jammy cnuts. Thought the inevitability would end after Klopp. They will drop points but the league is over already. United better get it together quick because it'll be 20-20 in a few months.
