It was.
So what's your answers?
It will be. BHA are fecking awful, and Liverpool will struggle themselves against Wolves.I don't think City are streets ahead but they are better. Which is to be expected given the squads. Injuies and luck have levelled the playing field a bit though. But you need luck to compete with this City team. Still, Liverpool might win the thing. That game with Brighton won't be a walk in the park.
What in the world suggests that United would immediately close this huge existing gap in one summer? You severely underestimate how far you’re behind, and disregard that Liverpool could also “buy well” this summer. You need far more than a few new shiny signings.Assuming both Chelsea and Utd buy wisely this summer, and Salah and the other Pool stars remain:
1.City
2./3./4. Random: Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool

I am convinced some people are just living in the alternate universe. We will be nowhere near Liverpool next season, we would do well to ensure TOP 4 with a few games til the end of the season left. What in the world suggests that United would immediately close this huge existing gap in one summer? I'd agree with that - Utd are going to struggle to get into the top 6 the way things are going.
Actually feel a tiny bit bad for Liverpool. Hard to see Liverpool competing for the title next season. They aren't on the same level as City despite what the league table says. Their squad depth isn't near the same level and it won't be next season either. The stars have aligned this season in my opinion to give them every help to keep pace. Lack of injuries to their front 3 (bar this last week or two), incredibly favourable referee decisions combined with an abnormal amount of goalkeeping errors in their favour (with a lot being very late on). Whilst everyone has lucky decisions and the big teams obviously get more than most, there really has been so many in Pool's favour that have impacted on games. Mentally they'll struggle to recover for next season as well if they don't win. Superb effort from them to amass so much points and yet achieve nothing, assuming City beat Brighton. Will be hard to motivate themselves and get over it for next season. I think City will win the league next season by a comfortable distance, think Pool will be part of the chasing pack with Spurs and probably 1 other out of Chelsea and Arsenal.
You don't think so?
It's like the red wedding.I still feel nervous and that everyone is laughing slightly prematurely

I don’t think you’ll fail to make it, but going by the comments yesterday, Leicester seems to have a better overall starting XI than you do even according to your own fans...You want to bet on it?
I didn’t say that but okay then. And look at the league table if you want to know what gap I was talking about. “Oh but we got gifted 15 points minimum”, fine if that’s your explanation. What fecking gap? I was talking about Top4, not PL contenders. Look at the current standings again and the points.
To say that Utd. will struggle to finish Top4 next season is just wishful thinking by the dippers and the spuds (oh God, I hope they finish 5th).
But they don't lose football matches. Why, unless they lose their best players, do you think they will be any worse than this season?Actually feel a tiny bit bad for Liverpool. And the truth is somewhere in the middle probably. Truth is, imo you need the biggest squad overhaul of any of the top 4 contenders of this season. And I’ve yet to see factual based arguments that this will happen in one summer other than blind hope/faith and “the fact that you’re United”.Of course, redcafe is not the definition of knee jerk, one month we had team as good as any and another month our players struggle to start even for relegation struggling teams.
You want to bet on it?
No because the last time I made a bet here I won and the guy never paid out!

I could be wrong obviously, and like I said I can’t see you finishing outside the top 6, but top 4 is hardly a given right now.

Of course you can make them. It'll still be predictions but they're based on facts rather than blind faith. "We will be better next season because we have just bought Bruno Fernandes" would be one for example, it's an argument based on a fact, if it were true. Also don't think you really understand what factual based argument is. That's not something one can make when predicting future in football. It's something you make to argue past incident.
City won the league last season is a factual statement. City will again win the league next season (as much favorites as they are) is prediction, not factual statement/argument.

And I disagree about squad strength, still think Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs have a better one than you do.
Lets involve mods then. Pay up or gets banned permanently.
Their points total is linked directly to their ability compared to the opposition they've played. All discussion of what's "deserved" is tendentious piffle. Liverpool are a better team than everyone apart from City, who have lost more games and are notably struggling more to get the goals during the run in. The luck/referee good fortune is exaggerated and the late winners are what Utd specialised in for years and years when we were out and out champs. I'd love to see them fall off a cliff next season but doubt it'll happen.I've literally said why I think they will do worse. Their points total is far above their ability/deserved points. It'll balance out next season, especially with the introduction of VAR.
Yeah its a bit annoying especially as it was for £100!

No guarantee to get top 4, of course. But struggle to "get top 6"... FFS.I'd agree with that - Utd are going to struggle to get into the top 6 the way things are going.
It's so true. City think the job is done and then Kompany will have a Gerrard-esque slip.Same. Everyone is laughing prematurely. I can see those Brighton cnuts looking to spoil St. Pep's party because BANTER INNIT, WE INBREDS feckED UP THE TITLE RACE. HAHAHA LET'S GO GET DRUNK.
I fecking hate Brighton
Agreed; Brighton denying Arsenal at the Emirates despite all that pressure from them at the end as desperately needed the win for the top four battle makes me very nervous - if it was at the Etihad then that would be one thing, but being at the Amex could be key.Still convinced Liverpool will win this
