They've been truly blessed in the first half of the season, some extremely lucks breaks and more than a few questionable refereeing decisions, if they can continue like this in the second half of the season and City turn their attention to Europe I can see Liverpool winning it.

City have rotation options up front in Aguero/Jesus/Sane/Mahrez/Sterling/Bernardo
Liverpool have Sturridge/Salah/Mane/Solanke/Firmino/Shaqiri
When City rest their forward 3, there's quality to replace them.
When Liverpool rest their forward 3, there's a obvious drop in quality.

Liverpool play Mane, Salah and Firmino so often and in such intensity that it seems almost unsustainable to expect this to remain maximally effective for the entire season. Even if injuries are avoided, the fatigue will eventually creep in and Liverpool will drop points.

Most important, on average a winning PL team loses 2-4 games per season. That Liverpool haven't lose a single game is incredible, but to expect that to continue isn't realistic. Yes, it's been done, but it's anomalous, you can't anticipate for it. Eventually City will retain momentum and Pool will drop points and things will level up. Also, not forgetting that Pool have Arsenal today and City in only a few days. They're not going to Emptihad and beating City days after a tough game against Emery's side.

First sign of title talk and spurs choke. Embarrassing.

Liverpool are going to walk this league.

The rest are bottle job chokers!

If I was a neutral I'd say so.

But I've watched Liverpool for enough years to know there will be a huge twist or three.

Theirs to lose now, I've come to terms with them winning it this season.
The only positive is that I know we will react to this and go all in next season.

You can start resting players for Champions league now.

Jeez, bet you guys didn't even think it would be this easy.

I've already made my peace with it, will just ignore it when it actually happens.

Mods will have to be vigilant though, this place will be rampant with scouse.

City were always the biggest threat, not sure why this thread has got a new wave of pessimism. It's not looking good but it was never going to be Spurs that stopped them.

Spurs were never going to beat them to the title.

City have had a little blip, just as Liverpool will do. They will find their gear again soon enough.

If Liverpool were to drop points to Arsenal, City should easily beat Southampton and they could be level on points again following the City/Pool game with Liverpool's momentum stunted and confidence cracked.

It’s a long season and we are only half way through it. That city is going to be so fecking tense for the run in, your average man on the street will be pulling muscles just thinking about it.

Spurs played three games in 6 days. That was the problem.

We have been lucky with our scheduling this Christmas. Games have been spaced out. After today, we don't play again till Thursday!

In our desperation to prevent the inevitable from happening, yes, we put our hopes in Spurs.

Big mistake.
Still City's to lose IMO. They have the best squad and in the business end will be fresher than Pool IMO.

Next week will be a big game for both teams.

The battle between City and Liverpool from now on would be awesome to watch.. I am biased and think that City will win it at the end but Klopp is doing amazing job at Liverpool, hats down..

Pool have a proper team and system in check, bought the right players. They also have decent chances to win the CL. I consider them unlucky to face this giant of Man City, as they will bounce back, and Pool will have poor results as well, it will be close.

If Liverpool win then its over. I have a sick feeling in my stomach.

The inevitable flowery prose, the Liverpool infestation in the media, their fecking arsehole fans. May will be intolerable and we don't even have a summer tournament to distract us.

Oh lord have mercy on us

They are going to batter Arsenal.
