Liverpool 2014/15 | WARNING: Contains strong amounts of Scouse nonsense

In my opinion, you can't criticize someone for finishing the season were you expected him to finish. And it's a fact that many on here predicted we wouldn't finish top four before the season started. Maybe you weren't one of those, I don't know. I was just pointing out that it's not a certainty for me that Rodgers will be rightfully criticized (especially by those United fans) if Liverpool don't finish in the top four.

I agree that it's too early to judge Rodgers' season yet, the question wasn't particularly directed at you. I've never said he should be fired, nor he has proven his managerial skills by turning Liverpool's season around. But I do think United fans saying he's a fraud are wrong (and Liverpool fans praising him into the sky as well, for that matter).

Well, this is the key point here. He is obviously a good manager. But then you have posters like Dumbstar who plunge new depths of subjective bias, and in many ways, it's fans like him that make non-Liverpool fans actively root against Rodgers. This leads to unfair condemnations regarding his ability, and so on.

That being said, taking his managerial ability out of the equation, I think even the staunchest, most defensive Liverpool fan has to admit that he susceptible to bouts of buffoonery.

It goes the other way too with posters like yourself..

FFS. I'm hardly biased at all. Get some proof or get a grip. Better yet, don't respond to me.

By the way, why have you taken on the mantle of Scouse Defender? I'm not talking to you, about you, or anything. You're not in the conversation. Move along.

If you want to have a private conversation a PM is probably the best place to do that rather than in the middle of a public forum.

Listen, I know it's only a football forum, and it's not a serious business, but I would really appreciate it if you refrained from responding to me in the future. I have nothing to say to you, and it'd be more conducive to my experience on this forum if I didn't have to interact with you.

Cheers.

I wasn't looking for a private conversation. You're just trying to incite. What you posted to me had no merit nor import. It was a pointless post, yet you felt an insatiable need to post it. You're boring. You're a WUM, you have been for a long time, and the lenience you're afforded surprises me.

Anyway, this will be the last thing I say on the matter. I'm not into blocking people, so, like I said, please refer to my previous post, and let that be that.

That's not inciting. It's pointing out that what you said goes both ways, which it does. Would it have bothered you less if instead of calling you out, I called out GasManc? I do occasionally try and wind people up, but it's not anywhere near as often as people try and say that I do.

Ignore me if I bother you. I make no promises about not quoting you or anything like that.

 If he bothers you that much then block him, you are in the Liverpool thread though.

Nah, I don't like blocking. It's petty and pointless, I just don't want him talking to me. Especially if what he has to say is nonsense.

And yeah, I'm in the Liverpool thread on a Manchester United forum. I don't frequent this site to have Liverpool bullshit thrown at me, irrespective of whether it's to do with Liverpool. All this thread entails is Liverpool fans defending Rodgers, United fans calling Rodgers an idiot and shit. There's no middle ground. I try to find that middle ground by saying he's a good manager, but also a bit of a twit. It's honest, fair and has nothing to do with bias.

This should be a thread where we discuss Liverpool, not have sensitive Liverpool fans unite together as some shitty Merry Band of Knobs, whereby you can't even begin to criticise the club, or praise it, strangely enough, without having a load of the minions swarming over you. It's shit.

I quite like having the resident Liverpool supporters, even though I give their club a hard time... Some of my mates are Liverpool fans, and I find it a lot easier to debate with RedCafe's scousers over them, pig headed clowns that I have for friends...

I have no problem with opposition supporters. Frankly I don't give a damn who supports who, I'm here to discuss football. Primarily United, of course, but also in general. The way Barney and Dumbstar, in particular, conduct themselves on this forum irks me, though. It's not to do with who they support, it's to do with them. Pretty much every other opposition supporter on this forum is good, although PickledRed's working his way onto my list.

Anyway, I'll probably just have to stay away from this thread.

Nah, it's always great when they lose. :D

Ignoring me accomplishes the exact same thing as asking me not to talk to you.

If you don't want "Liverpool bullshit" thrown at you do one of the following: 1) report posters to the mods/complain to them 2) ignore the posters that annoy you. It's as simple as that. Were you not on here earlier in the season? The club was taking it down the banks from everyone, including Liverpool supporters. You are just as bad as the rest of us in this thread.

Ignore. The. Ones. Who. Bother. You.

Sakho, Gerrard and Johnson still out whilst Coutinho and Henderson are rested and will not travel to Istanbul, according to Andy Hunter.

'It's us' ?

Ok since you talked about evidence quote me where you think I have erred. You know like where I've called Rodgers better than Mourinho or even LvG.

You're such a sensitive soul.

It`s a win win for us this week , if the Scouse cnuts go out it is feckin great and if they stay in then the fixture pile up won`t help them either , so feck em the deluded cnuts .

I'm hoping they stay in. I don't think they'll win it, but it'll be good for us if their fixture list piles up.

Good. Wonder who will play in midfield now though. Williams?
Or Brannagan? Don't know, seems like a very young squad, also including Fulton, Lussey and Sinclair. Must admit, haven't heard about Fulton and Lussey so don't know anything about them.

I think its fair to say none of the youngsters will be playing such an important tie, unless we've taken a 3 goal lead by half time. For one, none of them are good enough yet (and some never will be).

To answer Barney's question, Lovren and Toure at the back with Can next to Allen.

Barney is now following you. Mature, that.

Feck me.

Very good

Are Henderson and Coutinho defintely being rested or are they injured? I'm surprised if it's the former, I know Europa League is probably the lowest priority at the minute but I'd have liked the security of them (Coutinho especially) being on the bench if we needed him, it's a way of getting Champions League football after all.

Coutinho and Henderson have both played a ridiculous amount of football so it doesn't surprise me.

True, they could use the rest. Just a shame that it leaves us so short, the 11 near enough picks itself against Besiktas now unless we give a youth player a chance, which would be too risky for me.

I'd trust Jordan Williams I think. He looks composed every reserves game and he was very good when given a chance in the first team.

I haven't seen enough of him to argue either way in all honesty. Guess it's poor timing that Rossiter is injured now, he could have got some minutes (he's ahead of Williams, right? Not a regular follower of youth football).

Yeah, he'd be picked ahead of Williams. Williams is slightly older and in all likelihood won't have a long term future at the club, but I'd still like to see him given a chance as I thought the same of Flanagan before last season. Rossiter on the other hand, if he continues progressing the way he has done, should be a first team regular.

Ah, just when I thought you were one of the decent ones.
