Why aren't we getting any midfielders or attackers? feck this window this is another Maguire signing big money for what we do not need the most.

Tevez no ?
Tevez and to a lesser extent Heinze were actually very good signings. Just a shame both ended up being judas cnuts.

City seem to have had very good luck with Argies, so I wouldn't be worried. We've just signed some rotten ones.

No way. Lisandro is way better technically. Superbly agile too.

That's why I said version 2. Rojo had a bad rap which is bizarre considering the free passes Maguire gets every week. I loved his tenacity and grit, which hopefully Martinez has too. Martinez is clearly better but I want some of that Rojo nastiness too.

wow.. the amount of abuse I used to get here for saying Rojo was good. Same thing now with Lindelof

The only way this deal might make sense is if we are selling Maguire for big money as well and then getting De Jong.

There was nothing wrong with Rojo. I remember when he had a run of games and he was immense when he was able to get into his rhythm. Loved him as a player.

Congratulations on the signing all. Please show him some Man Utd love. I hope he will be as good for Man Utd as he was for Ajax or even better! I hope he will turn out to be a fan favorite!!

I hear Boreham Wood have offered a fiver and a free coffee at the snack bar every home game. I've advised the United lawyers to ask for a sugar lump to be thrown in to seal the deal

Can Maguire lift him up for corners?
I'm thinking we're about to revolutionise defending:
farthest-throwing-of-a-human-being

Maguire shifting to RCB perhaps underlining the point that Martinez will be used as first-choice LCB.

I have no idea if he is good enough to displace Magguire or Varane but I'm strangely excited about this signing. There is something gritty and aggressive about South American defenders that I love watching.
Oh and someone needs to tell him to stay away from Phil Jones during training.

Remember the time of VdB's transfer and all the take care of him messages from Ajax.. Well that didn't turn out so well

Do you think he’ll settle in well in the premier league? What’s his best attributes? And things he’s weak at?

Think he’s 5’9 and a quarter from memory. 6 foot in studs with an elevator heel.
He’s not even 5’9 try 5’7 and half but looking at Lindelof and Maguire he could be 4’7 and better than both of them, So we now know Varane, Martinez, and Bailey will be our best 3 CBs and We might as well cash in for Maguire or Lindelof

Depends on what you consider as big money. No one in his right mind will pay more than £30m for him. United should just take the loss though, but I doubt the Glazers will be happy taking such a loss. Moreover there'll be a wage issue with any club potentially signing him. You're most likely stuck with him.
