That’s just so sad. Such a warrior. This is devastating for him and for the team.
I suppose on the plus side he was walking, so hopefully it's not that bad, but has really taken the gloss off the performance. So so unlucky for him.

Might not have made a difference in the end, but it’s criminal from the physios and ten Hag to let him back on.

Gutted. Shows the need to sign 2 good CBs in the summer. One to replace Varane and another to be better back up than Maguire and Lindelof. Really hope this doesn't affect Martinez's career long term.

Not an expert but it didn’t look like one of those where it’s full impact and the ligament goes. Hoping it’s more impactful or twist.

Let’s see. We play once a week for the foreseeable future, so he might not miss that many games.

Fecking shitstain Coufal. His action seemed to include a bit of afters. I’m also convinced that part of the reason he’s constantly injured is how much covering he has to do for the likes of Maguire.

Gary Neville carried on playing after he did his ACL.

The injury was caused deliberately and you can't change my mind.
Ball is out of play, he doesn't make any attempt to protect Licha, just drops his full weight on his knee.
Looks smug about it too.

How I long to see West Ham relegated....
Let’s not be hypocrites here, if you look at the whole sequence, Martinez went in the duel very nasty and with malicious intent swinging his elbow. Coufal responded and with our shit luck this is the result.

Played very well, probably one of the best 3 or 4 matches hes had for us. Best of luck to him on the scan for tomorrow. I think if we have a chance of getting top 4 this season we need him playng most of our matches

Yes, but if the medics were super concerned about it surely they wouldn't let him do that (walk back I mean)? Maybe it doesn't matter (I'm not a physio), but it seems odd. Either way fingers crossed for the little dude.

The follow-up sounds a bit more optimistic (some games?). We can only hope...

I think this is probably just Ten Hag's dodgy English rather than too much of a sign of optimism.

"Some" is likely just any number higher than one in this case.

Not much use having such a good player when they’re constantly on the sidelines. We’ve had this before.

It’s night and day the difference in the performance levels of the team when he’s playing compared to when he’s not. Massive blow to lose him yet again for another lengthy period.

Can't even enjoy a rare comfortable win. Cursed with injuries this season hopefully games out than season over for one of Uniteds most important players

I'll be absolutely gutted if this is super serious. He's our best player by a mile and transforms this team completely when he's fit.

That's crap. I saw him a lot at Ajax, he was hardly injured. Just bad luck
All injuries have a bit of bad luck about them but once a player starts getting injured more often than not, you have to attribute it to a bit more than luck.

Not everyone's bodies are the same. Some are more susceptible to impact injuries, some to muscle injuries. I sincerely hope his body can withstand the PL because he's a fantastic player. Let's see, hopefully this isn't too bad.

Might not have made any difference but I was watching the game with my mate and we both said why the hell take the risk sending him back on?

2-0 up with Varane on the bench I really didn't understand it.

Yeah, I'm with this. Martinez made that nasty, not Coufal.

I wonder who made the decision to send him back on.

The guy is made of glass, we need a reliable replacement
A bit harsh but yeah, you can't look at him and Varane and feel that we have a solid reliable pair at the back. We'll need to go fro Two CBs in the summer considering that Varane is leaving.

See my post above 105 days out from April last season and 75 since September this season, and this one is supposed to be long term as well
Totally agree we need a reliable consistent centre pairing.

ACL? Really hope not. He makes a huge difference.

If we have any chance on top 4 is with a fully fit Licha. Hopefully, it's not ry serious.
