Absolutely superb and also liked the nastiness and the little digs at the Liverpool players. His role in our first goal was crucial as well-lovely pass.

He's already played against erling and did quite well, he should manage him just fine i hope.
I remember that game. But Haaland under City can take his game up a notch I feel like. But Varane complimented him very well. Hope they both can stay fit. Such a breath of fresh air compared to that lumbering oaf in Maguire.

How the sky narrative shifts so quickly  . Bloody love him already.

I also loved Rojo, think that Argie shithousery is what I desire in my CBs.

He was absolutely brilliant and set the tone from the very first minute when he went into Salah and gave him a nudge. That showed he was ready for the battle and things like that are very infectious and seep through to the rest of the players.

There's much more to come from him.

True, they'll be definitely a hard test for our defensive pairing.

I just hope by then casmiro has settled and we actually have a decent spine to face them off.

Congratulations on your win today. Well deserved. I just came to say that as you could all see Martinez is an absolute beast. I was so disappointed to read that Man Utd fans were doubting him, mainly because of his length, but in all honesty he is an amazing player on the ball and is very strong and great. We miss him a lot in Ajax. I know the PL is something different from the Eredivisie (Dutch League) but he is so consistent and flawless. You will have a lot of joy from him. Antony on the other hand is also an amazing player but misses efficiency. Some games he is invisible and other games he steals the show. I am a bit sceptic about him breaking through at Man Utd. Although Ten Hag knows him very well so he will likely give him time to adjust to the pace of the PL

Fecking loved his attitude tonight. Gruff little cnut and can really play. Hopefully Varane can stay fit because those two are clearly the CB partnership we need to build upon.

Refreshing to have a player who really puts it on the line to win a match in the United kit again.

Great performance.

There's a certain thing I especially love, and it stood out to me at Ajax with him and Timber.

When the opposition is pressing our backline and the fb has the ball, instead of continuing to run back, he stops, holds his position which lets the guy marking him run ahead, and receives the ball due to now being free.

Instantly breaks an opposition press as they don't expect the cb to stay ahead of a pressing forward.

Feck it he’s well and truly won me over tonight.

An absolute monster of a performance.

Him & Varane were colossus tonight. Deserved a clean sheet.

I do also really like his quick forward passing. Nice to see after watching Maguire keeping the ball at his feet for such a long time before he actually passes it.

Not big enough for the Prem huh? Absolutely bullied the Scousers tonight. Most ferocious performance by a United defender since Vidic’s time.

Love the aggression. All game kept battering them. Him and Varane have huge potential as a partnership

Great performance and superb fighting spirit seeing all the shit criticism he's been getting from all over.

Credit where it's due, he was beastly tonight and tied for MOTM with Varane. A drastic improvement from his inept performance against Brentford.

He's got all the aggro of nutters like Rojo and Bailly, but he also isn't totally brainless. Has he immediately become the best passer in the team? He looked fantastic on the ball tonight.

Was solid, tenacity and what's good is he has controlled aggression. Many players who have this often time cannot leverage it into control. It was like art today, you have to wonder why Timber would have been prioritised over him. It is interesting though many center halfs who the common opinions is to write them off can often be the most productive. I think Dias comes to mind for City so many thought he would fail.

Pleased to say I told you so. You could see he was a player even in the other games. Immense tonight next to Varane, first time in years we've had four proper footballers across the back line.

Does he speak much English? He seems to be getting his points across anyway.
