You bring up SAF and Eusabio, i could easily bring up anyone at Barca from the president to the Manager to the fans and i could bring up anyone in Argentina from Maradona to Tevez.

Actually i'm quite sure plenty of Portuguese would now say Messi is better, Ronaldo has been average for portugal recently and took a lot of stick in the press there. Where as you just have to look through the list of people who claim Messi is better in argentina. When did Eusabio say Ronaldo was better anyway?

The list of people backing Messi is far greater than Ronaldo, maybe not always but now it is unquestionable and it's stupid to argue otherwise. Ronaldo is a great player but we are talking about a once in a generation player in Messi.

What a crock of shit. Messi is playing in a defensively week league. Until he can perform in his current level against teams like United or Chelsea then he'll never be this "once in a generation player" that you preach.

Best player in the world he may be, but he's doing nothing that hasn't been done in far more impressive leagues.

I don't think he is saying it just for the sake of it, i dont think Fergie says anything just for the sake of it, he's possibly the shrewdest manager ever and i think it's very obvious why he says what he says about Ronaldo.

Sir Alex never called the likes of Cantona, Keano & co the best player in the World just because they played for his team (unlike Mourinho so called Drogba & Zlatan the best players in the world)...

Yes and he didn't have them wanting to leave, he didn't feel like he had to keep them in order to be a success, he didn't feel he had to sooth there egos to keep them happy the way he does with Ronaldo. I've never seen a player get the treatment Ronaldo gets from SAF. Anyone else would have gotten a boot off the face or shown the door, he no doubt rates Ronaldo amoungst the best but he feels he needs Ronaldo imo.

Mourinho actually called Lampard the best player in the world, not drogba.

What did Ronaldo do to merit that treatment from SAF ? Is it about the Madrid affair ?
If so Ronaldo despite of all that has always tried to give 100% to United and that we cannot complain about

That is football kouroux, you can only give your opinion. I don't think many people know what SAF thinks or the real ins and outs of football tranfers let alone a bunch of people posting on a football forum. We can only make assumptions or speculate and that is quite an enjoyable part of being a football fan i think.
