How can they get a record like that wrong? Did they just take Cesar's word for it? Did one guy count it once and that was it?

Analysing that goal from the comfort of your own chair at home where you have a lot of time to think, it would seem absolutely impossible that the ball will fit in through the defenders legs in that situation.
Nevermind in a fast paced game at the highest level, where everything and everyone around him is going so fast, yet in two seconds (literally) he had figured that it would (while also looking at the keeper), amazing really.

I think it's bizarre as well but who knows how these things were recorded or tallied before computers...And, in the end, the figure was off by only 3...Apparently, a case of 4 goals in a match were dismissed and another goal from another was added - perhaps they counted a friendly or something, no idea

No surprise at all he broke the record with a chip but even then that was a really classy flick of the boot. Expect him to get another and probably get a player sent off the way things are going.
