Lionel Messi - Performances

For headbutting someone? Bizarre reaction. Most people don't headbutt someone in a friendly which is why you don't see many sending offs. Not because they're all headbutting each other and the ref's fine with it.

People asking for him to be punished is bizarre, yes. Settle down, bringing up the Rooney red card from 10 years ago, where Pepe exaggerated and made a meal out of the incident, which Mbiwa didn't do. Again, there was no way that the ref will send him off for that in the Camp Nou, after half an hour of the season opening match.

Because he is a good boy?

And the only issue I have is that he will be cut slack because 'he is messi' unlike players like Suarez Ronaldo Rooney who would be critiscized to death.

Ronaldo and Rooney? You kidding? Especially Rooney, England's golden boy who gets a free reign to scream in referees faces every week when he doesn't like something!

Needs to be banned after what has happened to previous players in pre-season.

Sick to death of 'Mr Perfect' always getting away scot-free.

Aye, like that time he got a two game ban for swearing?

Even half the united fans criticise Rooney for so much as a mispass.

It is the United way (conspiracy ;)). We are the only team where the players dive, the team get given offside goals, have players that hassle the ref, have perfectly good goals from opponents disallowed, never (ever) have penalties against them at OT, and for some reason our wins are always because the other team rolled over. I would just give up watching the PL and give United the trophies. I mean it is obvious we are just going to get given the treble again by the FA, UEFA, FIFA, Fergie and UniCef. Long live United.

Now you know how a Bayern fan feels in Germany... ;)

Bigger teams always get favorable treatment. Rooney as a player get's it in various forms, including forgiveness when acting the cnut and holding his own club to ransom for a bigger pay packet like a petulant child.

I'm also not prepared to have my point refuted just because he got a ban for swearing, one punishment in a career full of foaming in referees faces doesn't make it a non issue :p

Aye, but when did it happen to Terry, Gerrard, Wilshire ( the few games he plays), massive star Jojo and a few others. Then you get some normally quite guy that gives a look of aggression and he gets the book thrown at him.

Who's normally quiet? it sure ain't Rooney.

john Terry fair point, it winds me up what he get's away with.

Thats the most blatantly bannable offence you'll ever see

Ive seen him live recently and he seems to cut a very lonely figure amongst his teammates. Wonder if its all getting too much for him.

Mbiwa's moment of glory. That's as famous as he's going to get.

Child like shit from Messi. The first thing that always comes to mind when I see these small cnuts go all aggressive on a dude so much bigger than him is how they'd be runnimg the other direction if it wasn't a football pitch. Had mbiwa pushed Leo the same way, he'd probably land on the corner flag.

Agree, it's quite humorous and pathetic at the same time.

Hate the guy. Mostly because he's the best player in the world and isn't playing for us.

Didn't ask for the penalty for clear handball and shot the rebound for the Pedro goal.

Dunno if this was posted before. But we are witnessing the best player of all times. This is a summary of last season and isn't even complete as the uploader can't make a full lenght video.

He is ridicilously good, makes players like Neymar and Suarez look like pub players with his insane close control of the ball and passing execution.

That video was brilliant. He is an incredible player. It is hard not to love the guy. Still loved seeing Ronaldinho in his pomp but there isn't a doubt in my mind who the better player is.

Best goal of the season and best player in Europe. Only player of yet to win the award more than once, albeit it's only the fifth instalment.
