Ligue 1 | French Football 2017/18

Good to see Monaco are going to make the season interesting. Feel sorry for OM supporters, looks like another frustrating season.

Their fans have reasons to be optimistic to be fair. They have some relatively ambitious new owners and have every chance to battle it out with Lyon for the third spot.

This result is a slight setback, but they were never going to challenge for the title this season.

They're not ambitious, they're deluded.

I'm on holiday and can't watch at the moment but just saw the scoreline...:D

Lots of goals from set pieces. Obviously difficult considering the players they've lost but they need to improve their general play. Rony Lopes looked good and Tielemans also looks pretty decent when he does come on

Former Benfica academy star, like Bernardo Silva and Renato Sanches, but who was sold very early.
Think City might come to regret that. He's got good pace, skill and ability on the ball. Also put in some good crosses.

André Gomes too.
I know, but those three were the real stars. Actually, A.Gomes was sent away by Porto and ended up in Benfica academy later. Jorge Jesus liked him, so he had a better chance.

Losing all these players and still winning everything.
Jardim is a genius.

That's why I wasn't worried about the sales, disappointed but not worried. Monaco are worse than Chelsea, they have more than two teams able to play the first half of Ligue 1.

Just want to say for me Jardim is the current best portuguese coach, Mou might have the best CV and more titles, but at this stage he would not be able to do this. Would like to see him staying a lot of years at Monaco to keep developing the machine, but can see him in 1 or 2 years replacing Emery, also Antero is a big friend of him...

PSG: "What will you do? Fine us? We'll pay it. Transfer ban us? We already bought everybody."

Registration bans aren't part of UEFA's weapons. But they can ban them from their competitions

We may see some kind of 424.

It could be a few different shapes, 4-4-2, 4-2-2-2, 4-2-4 or even a 4-2-3-1. Either way, it should be exciting to watch.

Mbappe & Neymar starting. Feck, do I really have to watch PSG's games to see these 2 great players?

Metz with extra-terrestrials in the line up
