If Casillas was British, he would just pretend to be gay for the rest of his life to save himself from embarrassment.
 
Seemed legit enough until the Puyol reply. No chance it's real after seeing that, IMO.

Unless he's gone off the grid, no way he wouldn't know by now, his cellphone is probably exploding at the moment. Hacked accounts can be hard to recover though.
 
According to his Wikipedia page he is in a relationship with Jay Stead from Belfast.

Well it isn’t on his Twitter page (his last two posts are Nyland contract renewal at Leipzig and Laporta complaining players didn’t take a paycut). He’s a news aggregator who if he says it’s raining you should look out of your window.

It’s more the way it’s posted. In football a big name like that coming out as gay along with a fellow World Cup winning professional is pretty big for gay people. you think they would come out like that? I’m not so sure.

The reactions under the tweets are absolutely appalling. Also, seeing catholic and muslim bigots teaming up under the circumstance when they hate each other the rest of the year is a bit strange to witness.

And every time these discussions flare up, you will have people asking why they even need to announce it, as it’s obviously not a big thing anymore and nobody cares anyway. Well yeah, they do care. Sadly enough.
I would never come out as a pro footballer. The whole community is still filled with disgusting amounts of hatred towards anything and anyone queer.

Yeah, as if these comments would fool anyone. Typical reaction from homophobs trying to hide it : "why do we care?" "we don't care, we don't dance around annoucing we're straight" blabla. Disgusting.

Because there are enough homophobic idiots out there who still think turning the lifelong struggle for acceptance by anyone in the queer community into a bad joke, is the pinnacle of comedy. So it might actually be a joke.

Did he deny it on one of his other social media? Because it's unlikely they hacked all of them.
 
Spain as a culture is still quite plagued by racism so wouldn't be surprised if it is still more homophobic than other countries and this type of joke seemed fine to Casillas and Puyol.

I don't think so, it could have been an impulsive tweet followed by a social media blackout. The tweet is blowing up all over the workd and it's been up for an hour. The likeliness of it being true without any other communication on his end increases every minute.
