Yeah, I put it a bit on the edge, but you can see why he went to Dortmund, especially seeing as he has already said no to Juventus once before due to wanting secure game-time and focusing on development when he went to RB Salzburg.
I don't think Dortmund will win, but they will compete at least. And they are good at developing. If he backs himself to push them onwards then I could understand it if he thinks Dortmund is good enough to win trophies.

Let’s not blame Raiola if Pogba leaves. I guarantee he won’t be dragged away kicking and screaming and bundled into the back of a car before being forced to sign for another club just because his agent wants a pay day. If Pogba leaves it will because he wants to leave and sadly after 4 years of being here I wouldn’t blame Pogba for wanting out. We haven’t progressed nearly enough, if at all, to keep a player who would be wanted by most if not all the best teams. His lack of consistency will always cast a shadow over his time here but that doesn’t change the fact that as a club we should of progressed in his time here to make players of his stature want to be here.

The sad fact of the matter is if we were a better run team, Pogba would not be looking elsewhere. I dont blame Raiola for wanting his players on teams that show ambition.
Mendes and other agents consistently use the United name to get more money for their clients, Raiola is just more vocal about it.

Lenglet won his spot and with Barcelona there is no guarantee that you will play or that they won't find a new shiny player to purchase. But beyond that I don't really follow your point, Barcelona aren't a more sensible move from a trophy standpoint and they have the habit to pay even more than Juventus, so I don't really see it's an example of Raiola "choosing" money over trophies or the player well being. The way you put it, you would think that Juventus aren't a CL contender.
 
Raiola (Pogba) is coming out with all this stuff, slagging United etc because they are very frustrated.
Theyve wanted out for a long long time ( Starting with a try for a move to City as soon as it became clear they were going to win the prem league in 2017/18.)
He was expecting a move last summer and hoping for one this Jan but there are no takers at the asking price so United are Getting the blame for “devaluing” him by being shite apparrently.
It could get very messy
 
If Raiola is the super agent he thinks he is then he'll get us the 120m for Pogba we rightly deserve.

If these quotes are true where Raiola states he won't send his players to United, Woodward should be all over it. "That's a shame for Mino. He won't be able to artificially link his players to us to drive the price up anymore".

A statement like that would do so much more for PR than the "we didn't want him anyway" press briefings that are currently the case after the player decides to go somewhere else.
 
He'll get banned in the not to distant future. He'll feck up and Uefa and Fifa will use him as a "spacegoat". Mino thinks he's a big player but he's a little boy playing in a big persons game. Mendes as much as he's a prick, is a far better agent.

How is he spot on? We have a fair few players that have done well under Ole, namely Rashford, Greenwood, McT, Fred and AWB. The only player who has significantly regressed is Lingard and there were question marks about his ability anyway. Who has joined recently that has really suffered? What has actually happened is that most players we signed since Fergie left just weren't good enough. The one true good player was Zlatan and he did alright...

His quotes are just an attempt to unsettle the club and pressure them into selling Pogba.

They are from the academy. He's is spot on.
I think he is talking about the sad club record in terms of recruitment since the retirement of SAF and he is right. Which player have we improved? Pogba, Di Maria, Martial, Mikhi, Lukaku, Bailly, Rojo, De Gea, Shaw, Alexis, Lingard, Jones, Smalling?
I can understand it. If I were in his place, I would not advise one of my players to join United.

Jones, DDG and Smalling were bought under Fergies time so not sure what relevance they have here.

Bailly and Rojo were never good enough. Both are also injury prone so its hardly anything related to the club. Bizarre to suggest otherwise. Alexis was done well before we got him. Very obvious and again, quite bizarre to claim the club has somehow caused his decline.

Mikhi had one good season at Dortmund. Weak mentality and it shows at Arsenal. Di Maria has not shown anything at PSG to suggest we made a mistake selling him.

Several managers have criticised Shaw, including England managers. His lack of improvement is to a large extent his fault.

Martial has shown some improvement with his hold up play and runs. Pogba has done alright and is clearly our best player - so his status has not declined at all has it... Lukaku did exactly what he has done at all other clubs - score goals against crap teams and do shit against top teams. You've also omitted players who did fairly well here, such as Blind, Herrera, Zlatan (as I mentioned earlier) and also omitted all the other players I mentioned.

Raiola has only said those comments to continue to pressure United into selling Pogba. How anyone can think anything different is beyond me. His sole role is to get the best deal for himself and his client. Pogba wants to leave so he is doing everything in his power to facilitate that. It was very interesting when people criticise the club for coming out with "leaks" about a player clause. Okay so they were bullshit. Pogba has looked improved when Ole took over, Martial definitely, Bailly injured, Shaw seems to be back, Rojo shows a ressemble of resolve when he plays, so not all is lost in that list.

Unpopular opinion: If we are actually committed to taking 2 to 4 years to start contending we would be unreasonable to tell Pogba to stay and wait. Footballers primes are short lived. His timeline and ours clearly don't match if we don't expect to contend for major trophies anytime soon. If the right price comes he should go

As for Raiola I cant believe we wanted to deal with the prick again. Once Pogba leaves that should be curtains on having him set foot in any United building

I liked Blind, a smart player but nothing special. He couldn't be a top defender in the EPL with this weakness in aerial duels.
Zlatan ... I've never been a fan (since his years at Ajax), I don't see how the club has helped him. He has done what he has done in all the clubs he has played ... nothing more.
I have been talking about the dynamics of the club since SAF retired. Which player has improved here?
The future is very uncertain and the return of success even more. We don't have the right people at all levels of the club and a real plan to get back to the top. So why would someone (an agent) advise a player to come to United?
Personally, I don't give a feck about Pogba. Like all fans, I want the best for the club. If he wants to stay and have the right attitude ok otherwise Raiola has only to find a buyer at the correct price.
To summarize, I will say that I don't care who we sign or not, the names of the players etc ... I just want to have the feeling that there is a clear plan and the competent people to carry it out . That's all.

He would have been fantastic because he has an understanding of the space that no player has bar Mata maybe. And his technique for passing was quite good, shooting was more than fair. So he would have been a great player to have today.

We don't want to deal with him, but numerous players have already stated how fantastic he is as an agent and a person, so chances are that we will come across him, like him or not. So we have to deal with him.

Blind was very good last season at Ajax. He played as CB with De Ligt. I don't think he has the qualities to be a midfielder at the highest level either.

Raiola is right not to advise his clients to come here because of the dynamics of the club, the uncertainty for the future and there are no longer guarantees of success and evolution for the players.

Many players have improved there before going to a big club. Great atmosphere, good championship, good technicians ... less negative pressure. Basically, an environment conducive to moving to the next level. Great for a young promising player like him.

I think a team like that who are prone to getting their players pinched is no certainty though, other than in the very short term. There are other clubs in Germany waiting if they slip up, see Klopp's end there for an example. Not saying it's a bad move, I think they're a great club, but I really don't think it's a certainty.

Bang on. If Raiola is going to insist on making an enemy out of our club then we should stop letting him use us for his own gain.
 
I agree we should ban working with Raiola or any players he represent, undoubtedly he is a great agent for his players always getting more money and better deals for them but it’s a nightmare for a club to work with him, he is always looking for his player to get a better contract or move him elsewhere.

Since Pogba arrived there hasn’t been one window where there’s not uncertainty about Pogba’s future, in the end he does way more dagame than good to the club, and as long as clubs keep working with him he’ll keep getting more power. The only way to limit agents power is to veto them.

I can't know what happened behind the scenes but it was reported that Barca deal fell through because they would not offer as much as Juve. When you are 19 years old you should make your decisions based on football, not - couple extra millions. Couple extra millions only makes sense to your manager, not to you, not at that age.

You are obviously free to think that Juve was a better deal or just as good. I think it wasn't because:
  • I think Barca is a bigger club
  • La Liga is much stronger league
  • Barca had a need for starting CB and De Ligt could have taken it. At Juve there was no such obvious opening and indeed he is struggling to get playing time.
Have De Ligt and Haaland made best choices? Maybe. I am just pointing out that according to reports they made deals that maximized Raiola'a profits, which is fishy... That is why question arises as for whose "best interest" does Raiola fight for. I think it is a fair question, is all

Amongst all the talk it's been lost that Haaland is going to Dortmund, the team Raiola previously fecked over on the mhkitaryan transfer. I imagine at that time they also spoke of never dealing with Raiola again.
 
As a plan b, can we try to be a properly ran club in accordance with the level we should be on and not have to worry about an agent flapping his gums.

"poster child of how not to run a club." is a bit much. We care for this club and we want it to be the best. We also were the best not that long ago so current state hurts a lot, but there are a lot of clubs in the world, including top clubs, that are just as or more dysfunctional.

If there is one club I envy, unfortunately it's Pool after Fenway Group acquisition. They are very well-organized. City has a decent organizatio but the amount of money they spend for it...

Honestly, I am not sure Real Madrid is any better organized than us. Florentino Pérez just cares about football results more than Glazers do, but that's not really club organization per se. In our league alone, I am certain Spurs is more of a mess (they were just lucky with Poch) and Arsenal currently seems to be a total disaster.

They're not that well organized. They just pick the right manager.

We werent the best club back in 86, we just happened to pick the best manager out there, the one that destined for greatness.

Barcelona. Madrid. Bayern is the antithesis of us. They dont need a great manager, they have a great system.

A good system can never beat a good general, but a good system can last you many stupid general.
