"Get in!"

At this rate their 2009/10 Season DVD will be four minutes of the United match at Anfield highlights, with goal commentary and in-depth analysis of Lucas' performance, followed by YAWN in both musical and instrumental versions.

From their official site:

When word of the final whistle eventually arrived, the news wasn't good, but it didn't silence the away fans, who can now at least look forward to visiting some of Europe's more far-flung footballing arenas.

Certainly something to look forward to :lol::lol:

scouser on 606 at a pub near Anfield heard a lad in the background lets burn this cnut down!!

I was in a pub yesterday and a guy came in with a lovely little Labrador.
I asked what its name was and the guy said Liverpool!
"Why would you call a dog Liverpool?" I asked.
"Well" said the man "Every time Liverpool lose, he gets the hump and has a lay down in the corner. Every time Liverpool draw, he stands to attention with his tail wagging"

"What happens when they win?" I asked

He replied "I don't know, I've only had him six weeks"

10@10: Reasons for Liverpool to look on the bright side after Champions League exit

So Liverpool's Champions League dream ended last night - the first time under Rafa Benitez that they have not qualified from the group stage of the competition.

There was to be no great escape from the corner they had backed themselves into, no last minute wonder goal from Steven 'Steve McQueen' Gerrard.

But don't despair Liverpool fans! There are reasons to be cheerful:

10) Two fewer games against Chelsea

Given how Liverpool and Chelsea seem to be drawn together like magnets in every Champions League draw, it'll mean two fewer matches against the cocky Londoners, with the tie eventually settled by a hugely controversial and debatable goal.

9) Another derby?

But you might get another derby against Everton. The Blue half of Merseyside are still in with every chance of progressing to the next round of the Europa League and there's nothing like beating your biggest rivals to cheer you up.

8) They might actually win this one

Repeating the success of 2005 always looked like a tall order this season but winning the Europa League is decidedly easier - and Steve G is up for it.

7) Don't let your arms get tired

Plus, when the Reds do win it, the Europa League trophy is much lighter than the European Cup so poor old Stevie G won't strain his arms when lifting it above his head - he hasn't had much practice at that lately.

6) German beer is better
Ducking out of the Champions League at this stage means Liverpool fans have dodged a bullet. Instead of having to trudge to Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium for the Champions League final, they could be watching the Europa League final in Hamburg's Volksparkstadion. Given that watching football in Germany is apparently the best thing since sliced bratwurst, it's win-win.

5) Money's too tight to mention
While the fact that the club will lose out on the Champions League millions might seem like bad news, it actually just means Rafa Benitez will have less money to sign on distinctly average or crocked players.

4) Concentrate on the League

Ah the old argument trotted out by managers everywhere after they've just been knocked out of the cup. Of course in this case it's not so much the battle for the title as the battle for fourth place.

3) Crime rate reduction?

The Liverpool players won't have to worry about their mock Tudor mansions being burgled when they're away on Champions League duty now. Instead they'll have to worry about it when they're away on Europa League duty.

2) Channel Five!

Who needs Steve Rider, Andy Townsend and Clive Tyldesley when you can have Colin Murray and John Barnes. Liverpool's European adventure will now be covered by the fifth best terrestrial channel in England.

1) Good news for DJs
After last night's result, it's doubtful Steven Gerrard will feel the need to go out celebrating in Southport nightclubs this weekend demanding Phil Collins be played.

going to take a lot to sort that lot out and get them back on the winning track thanks rafa love you mate.

Whats also funny is that theyv'e been waiting for long for Aqualini the £18m+ buy, and when he finally does play, he does feck all and has to come off.
