All Summer we've been listening to Liverpool supporters tell us that we won't make top four this year. That they will have another decent shot at the title and it will probably take us a few years to get back to the same level as them. Rodgers telling van Gaal that the league will be a tough place for him to come to, Rodgers telling Tottenham that they should be challenging for the title after spending €100 million, Rodgers questioning Southampton's ambitions after he buys their whole team.
How's it looking for you now lads? History is all scousers seem to talk about and yet they haven't learned a thing from it. Liverpool are a mid-table team who have the odd blip season where they get a bit closer to the top and then fade away again for a few seasons after.
How quick they decided they were going to be better than us for years to come, telling us that we would have a hard time getting back to the top four. Telling us where and why we were struggling and how much better equipped they were for another strong season with their amazing manager and amazing players and best captain ever and all that bullshit.
I knew we would be once again above them this season. I knew it because Liverpool are Liverpool and Man Utd are Man Utd and I get so much pleasure from looking at the table today. Don't kick a man when he's down? They reveled in our struggles last year. I will gladly kick that man when he's down. I held it in last season and all during the Summer when I was listening to shit from them and I genuinely couldn't wait for this season to start to watch them fall back down.
So here it is lads, we're back above you's because we're a better club, a better team and have a better manager. Next time you want to give us advice on how to improve or how long you think we'll be out of the top places as if you were destined to be there for years to come write it down on a piece of paper and shove it up your arse
