Lets laugh at Liverpool

This. I'd happily see Liverpool slide out of existence, and laugh all the way. I want them as far from success as possible.

You need competition though, that's arguably the biggest ingredient in this rivalry. If they were just a cash machine for 3 points every time we played then it would slowly lose hype and interest, admittedly not fully but a la City in the Division 2 days.

West Ham on the other hand... They can do a Hereford United for all I care.

Yes, Rafa's "meltdown", Macheda goal, comeback in Spurs game, quite a few highlights that season. They came so close but still lost out to us. Our PL win that season was enjoyable for me so much so that I can not think about the CL defeat... :( oh crap
I'd love to watch that game again.

Apparently they were made to take it down, no idea how true that is.

I posted this in another thread, I didn't see this one. Laughing at Liverpool after last season is so, so satisfying. They were so insufferable to listen to last season

All Summer we've been listening to Liverpool supporters tell us that we won't make top four this year. That they will have another decent shot at the title and it will probably take us a few years to get back to the same level as them. Rodgers telling van Gaal that the league will be a tough place for him to come to, Rodgers telling Tottenham that they should be challenging for the title after spending €100 million, Rodgers questioning Southampton's ambitions after he buys their whole team.

How's it looking for you now lads? History is all scousers seem to talk about and yet they haven't learned a thing from it. Liverpool are a mid-table team who have the odd blip season where they get a bit closer to the top and then fade away again for a few seasons after.

How quick they decided they were going to be better than us for years to come, telling us that we would have a hard time getting back to the top four. Telling us where and why we were struggling and how much better equipped they were for another strong season with their amazing manager and amazing players and best captain ever and all that bullshit.

I knew we would be once again above them this season. I knew it because Liverpool are Liverpool and Man Utd are Man Utd and I get so much pleasure from looking at the table today. Don't kick a man when he's down? They reveled in our struggles last year. I will gladly kick that man when he's down. I held it in last season and all during the Summer when I was listening to shit from them and I genuinely couldn't wait for this season to start to watch them fall back down.

So here it is lads, we're back above you's because we're a better club, a better team and have a better manager. Next time you want to give us advice on how to improve or how long you think we'll be out of the top places as if you were destined to be there for years to come write it down on a piece of paper and shove it up your arse

I want the Gunners to beat them..but Arsenal seem so iffy..just not dependable.

A Liverpool win is good for us. They'll still be 10 points behind us, and Arsenal will fall to 8 points behind us. Provided we beat Villa, of course.

Yeah, I agree.

In fact, a draw would probably be ideal. No way back for Liverpool then.

The movement of Alexis, Welbeck and the Ox will just destroy Liverpools awful defense.

I'm of two minds. As a United supporter it's always satisfying to see Liverpool lose. But where I am from there are hardly any Liverpool fans. I know a lot of arsenal supporters. And they were insufferable last season for me. It would be joyous to no end to see them get a 6 love spanking from Liverpool.

Still would be funny to see Rogers lose another game in the league to make it 8 losses before Christmas. Win win either way for me. A draw would bore me.

That's the beauty of these sort of games, it's a classic win win situation. We can all just sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

I came in to post about how this match is at Anfield so Arsenal probably don't have too much hope but they're 3-1-1 in the last 5 there, with only last season's 5-1 as the loss. Don't think Stevie G can raise his game THAT much without Suarez or Sturridge.

I forgot about the 5-1 bumming. Liverpool were amazing in those opening 20 mins or so, genuinely the game where after I was sure they were going to win the league.

Arse will be in the Top 4 by the end of the season, sure as eggs is eggs, we don't have to worry about them, we just need to keep getting our results.

Liverpool losing would be rather sweet, considering the shit they gave us last season. Stuff 'em, I hope they get a good rodgering & Arse get revenge for last season's humiliation.

On balance, think I'd prefer a Liverpool win. Would keep Arsenal from getting too close to us.
Liverpool are done this year. No chance of getting top4. Arsenal on the other hand......
Wouldn't mind a 0-0 as long as both teams had 5 players sent off.

Am I the only one who'd prefer a Liverpool win this weekend?

I want Liverpool to lose every game they play. But this weekend's game is a win-win really. No matter what happes we come out laughing (if we beat Villa).

I worry that KRAP will fail if they carry on losing.

Something like that...
Yes. If Arsenal get 10-0 up, I'll be urging them on for an 11th.
Me too, but if it was 0-0 in the 90th minute, I'm not sure if I want Arse to nick a late winner

Fair enough

Even Robbie Savage is on the 'Lets laugh at Liverpool' bandwagon today:

I can't say I agree with him all that often, but I find myself agreeing here.
Amazing how wank all those signings have been. It's actually pretty fecking unreal that he was able to sign that many places and have that high percentage of them being shite. Statistically he should have had more hits just based on law of averages

Am I the only one who'd prefer a Liverpool win this weekend?

Probably just you. As I've probably posted before, if Liverpool were playing aliens for the future of our planet, I would support the aliens.
