Lets laugh at Liverpool

And the guy at the front is so pissed off he removes his invisible plastic moustache.

"Oh feck's sake, won't be needing my Liverpool Premier League Winners 2013-14 celebratory moustache anymore."

Also, I think your man with the delayed reaction has glasses made of the same stuff as those binoculars harry potter uses to watch the quidditch world cup final in goblet of fire.

It's funny how they relive their glory days by highlighting an accurate number of trophies.

Visit Manchester United twitter or any other club and you'll see "Official Twitter of Manchester United FC".
No moaning about being the most successful domestic english club with 20 league titles etc etc.

Liverpool fans delusion goes straight from the club and their overgrown ego.

Do you reckon they've deliberately got 18 international accounts? Probably got 5 facebooks to go with it.

Full Time Devils has just made an urgent appeal for LFC and their manager:
An urgent disaster appeal for Brendan Rogers and Liverpool Football Club. Please put sporting rivalry aside and give generously to help those less fortunate than yourselves.

I am actually surprised that this thread isn't longer than it is. Just over 1,400 posts in 5 years. Come on they are funnier than that.

I always wanted for Liverpool to do well and to be among us and Arsenal one of the top 3-4 teams in PL. I thought this would be good for the PL and the derbys would be even more exciting. I wa thinkng that they are one of the teams which belongs in the CL and which was trully hurt by the rise of City and Chelsea. Even if i hated them i still had that soft spot for them.

Does not compute

Why have you bolded parts? The whole post confuses me.
the bits that i dont get the most "I always wanted Liverpool to do well..." and "...I still had a soft spot for them"
feck off and support them then, no self respecting United fan would come out with that load of tosh

I feel a bit envious of LFC fans.

Thnk of all the joy they got from seeing us slip to 7th and only make the 1/4 finals of the Champsions League, after all those Premier League titles and Champions League finals.

And what do we get? One half-arsed attempt to win the league (and they couldn't even do that right), followed by an immediate return to form way worse than we managed even in our annus horribilis.

Where's the excitement in that? It's no wonder people are apathetic in this thread.

Yeah, fair enough. Still, if there is one positive from City and Chelsea winning the lotto, it's that Liverpool have suffered by struggling to get CL football over the past decade.

You couldn't have hoped for a better fall from grace than this. In April I was convinced they had won the league. Now its business as usual. Hope we stuff them on Sunday.

Oh God this is all good and fun.

But can we bump these sort of threads after Sunday. Just have a feeling its going to bite us in the arse.

Maybe i didn't expressed myself in the right way but this is probably because english is not my native language and to be fair i am pretty bad at english.

What i mean was i wanted them to struggle but not as much as they did. For an example the league was way more fun in 2009 when they nearly won it but we nicked it infront of them than in 2013 when we were miles ahead of them and anybody else. If this explain it better. The soft spot was not in the way i liked them and as i said i always hated them but wanted that they would do a little better because it was more fun when they did and we smashed their hope.

When they were 7th in the league i didn't care if they lose or win because it didn't have any importance to us, their fans accepted they are shit and it was no fun. Now after last season i can enjoy their every defeat like they lost the league because of the defeat even if they would be in League One.

I was writting this post half an hour and erased almost every sentence for couple of times to put it in the better way so i hope you get it.

The bolded part, lets just say that i did not want to read that in my life.

I share your thoughts assuming I got it right. Much rather us in a title race with Liverpool than Chelsea. That satisfaction of us denying them the chance of a title, snatching the prize right before their eyes, it's really icing on the cake stuff. Mmmm... lovely

Yes you got it right. Mission accomplished for me :)

Yeah @Jerch that does make sense. A lot of people said the same to me about United last year. They'd looked forward to our demise for so long, when it came it was so complete it lost its fun. United fans wrote the season off early so there was no prospect of dashing our hopes or anything like that.

More fun when people come close but have it snatched away, than when they are so shit even they accept it and don't get their hopes up.

I have no trouble seeing Liverpool crash and burn. I respect them as a rival of course, but I don't like them.

I think it comes down to the small(er) club mentality....

City are more concerned with us than us them
Everton are more concerned with Liverpool than vice versa
Liverpool are more concerned with us than use them - conspiracy theorists, bent referees, Fergie bashing etc....

Sorry I don't agree. I don't see how it's fun that they come within an inch if winning it. It could have been a Chelsea player slip.
I would rather they are nowhere near winning anything. I get more pleasure out of them being miserable all the time. Last season was too close

I'm in this camp.

Yeah you had a crap manager, made crap signings and played crap all season (and we STILL didn't beat you) - where's the schadenfreude in that?

The last title race between us and them was what, 2009?

Yes, Rafa's "meltdown", Macheda goal, comeback in Spurs game, quite a few highlights that season. They came so close but still lost out to us. Our PL win that season was enjoyable for me so much so that I can not think about the CL defeat... :( oh crap

I reckon the best is yet to come. This season has been a disaster for them but they still have that sliver of hope, as Sturridge gets better and better as the weeks pass (in their heads). I can't wait until he comes back and they realise its not quite so easy for him without Suarez keeping the defenders out of his way.

I don't usually get involved in these conversations but I couldn't agree more.

A soft spot for Liverpool? Incredible!

Taken from 08/01/1970. Have a look who Kenny Dalglish's favourite player and team are. That's awkward...

If you looking at older posts look at post where i explained what i wanted to say.

So King Kenny is their version of our Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

This. I'd happily see Liverpool slide out of existence, and laugh all the way. I want them as far from success as possible.
