That's the problem, ain't it.

Present people with a half decent alternative and the Tories are out (for the time being, at least).

Another problem is that Britain has been divided for years now along geographical and/or demographic lines. If it had been up to the big urban areas, Brexit wouldn't have happened. If it had been up to the younger generations, it wouldn't have happened either.

(I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have happened if the basic turnout among youngish people in London, Manchester and Liverpool had been just slightly higher. The oldish idiots have been allowed to have their way - rather than them being an actual majority in terms of political views).

Absolutely not! I didn't sympathize with them despite them being the underdog since their so called fans ran havoc in cities in Belgium and France. I can't stand the hype about Messi but in the unlikely case of an Argentina Morocco final I'll will rather support the South Americans.
 
Seems a bit harsh to call the Scots losers, when they actually match England trophy for trophy in most people's lifetimes.
 
This will never be as funny as the euros unfortunately. Maybe I laughed a bit too hard but I was dining out after that loss

Nah the French wanted it more and believed. We would have choked in a shoot out. Or they would have scored again. The score was a product of their better mentality and slightly better players. Mbappe was key even though he did nothing because the attention he got meant Griezman ran the game for long periods.

We probably need a manager who knows how to win to get us over the line. Southgate has done a good job but I don't see him taking us further.
