Hopefully not a serious injury. One thing I've noticed is he's a lot more comfortable on the ball than the majority of our other CB's. I noticed on numerous occasions he was playing a pass first time round the corner to Dalot rather than taking a touch/thousand touches like Maguire/Lindelof do. It's that split second that makes a difference.
He looks comfortable, especially considering how young he is, but he also looks very right-footed. I think he either needs to play on the right or start to develop his left foot so he doesn’t need to cut in so much. This was commented by the pundits for the game, that he cut in all the time to use his right foot, which made Arsenal’s pressing easy and effective.

Between him and this new kid Heaven, we have two very young and aggressive talented CBs that can form a good partnership, guided under de Ligt.

He's good at carrying the ball forward, which is a key requirement in Amorim's system.

Probably our best transfer in recent years. No matter who coaches us he will become a star defender. Let's enjoy as long as he's playing for us.

This is exciting. Very pleased to have both of them.

With Dorgu in the mix also, now all we need defensively is a top RWB.

We have one in Kamason, He's been great for the youth teams this season (both under 18 and under 21)

I am excited by the prospect and feel that playing 3 CBs probably helps us to give more younger CB talents more minutes alongside 1 or 2 experienced players.

Nottingham Forest 1:0 Man Utd New
Feels weird the games been done 15 mins and I’m first to bump this thread. He was sensational tonight

Excellent tonight - looks to have really settled.

Also played a couple of perfect switches which was great to see

A lot more aggressive and proactive in his defensive duels, which is good to see and carries on from his previous last recent appearances. Want to see more authority and confidence on the ball but that will come with time.

Got more controversial chatting shite about his great tackle than our penalty claim.

Clearly a fantastic prospect.
Forgot about that. Don't think there was even a replay when our players were claiming penalty.

Great performance by Yoro. Him, de Ligt, Dalot and Bruno were best for me. Actually would give Yoro MotM for that great tackle. He's not as fast as Elanga but saved the situation in a great fashion.

Looks class. Good on the ball, positionally smart and great recovery tackle on him.

Yep, this is why you pay the big bucks for top young talent. Won’t always work out, but it’s much better than “waiting for them to prove themselves” at a bigger club just to be quoted 80m+ later on.

Love this guy. Think him and hopefully Heaven can be stalwarts at the back for the next half decade+

Wow that tackle. Got no credit because nonsense talk about foul which clearly he got ball on first sight. Top class young player. Hope we don’t waste/ruin him

He's an actual example of a genuinely good young player with loads of potential, unlike a few others I can think of

Said it in another page, but quite content with the back 3 from last night, add in Heaven, Maguire and Martinez when he is back and we have a decent set of 6, ideally shaw could be another option but keeping them all fit at the same time is an issue.

A lot of people are certain we will add to our centre backs, but I think it's less of a priority than other areas.

Our defense or CBs has been generally brilliant. Just need to upgrade on midfielder and a wingback and we will be very solid defensively. Mazroui has been superb yesterday too at both ends of the pitch. Hopefully Yoro can stay fit, he can thrive in this system.

I really wish we played a back 4. I think Yoro would get a lot more praise in that system.

100%. A striker and a deep lying player are essential.

He is better on the left, isn't he?

I think he’ll be great wherever he plays. Pretty telling though that they moved him out to the left to deal with elanga pace a bit better, and elanga pretty much went quiet the second half except for that excellent tackle from Yoro.

Can't wait until he has a bad game and people are saying sell him to League 2 in the summer.

Does anyone know why him and Maz seem to be switching game to game? I thought everyone on here was in agreement you have LCB Yoro - De Ligt CB - RCB Maz if you are fielding these three players, yet Maz was out on the left at one point.

The talent is there, I did think he was a bit faster than he is from people's reviews on him before he joined but I wonder if it's a bit of a knock on from coming back from injury mid season.
