Looking very good now that he's adapting! Hopefully he develops well. Has a good group of center backs around him so I'm not too concerned.

Best performance since joining the club tonight. I thought the back 3 all had a good night in both boxes

Looks like he is still playing well within himself.

This season can still be worthwhile if Yoro and a few of the other players can get themselves fully accustomed to the club/system.

I gave him my motm tonight. I thought he was solid defensively and was a good outlet at times further up the pitch, at least whilst we had 11 players on the pitch.

If Brazil is producing good attacking players, France is starting to produce some very good CB's as of late. 19 years of age.

Really like him playing there on the left. Like him more there than the right side. I think this is his best game in an United shirt. Like his attacking play to. I think he can form a good partnership with Dorgu on the left

Great match. That negative cross to Hojlund was amazing. Better striker finishes that.

I appreciate that the technique used was totally different but his turn near the box reminded me of Berbs, it was such a fun little moment in an otherwise dull season.

He looked really good today, which is promising, although I still want to see him against a direct and pacy winger again.

Another thing that I hadn't taken note of before today is that he's half decent in the air, which I'm not sure can be said about anyone in the back line apart from Harry and de Ligt.

One of his best games for us.

He should be LCB most games now - get him in the best shape possible for next season.

Best game so far for sure. Looked very assured and confident, really good pressing high up and wasn't afraid to run with the ball. Good link up with the rest of the team and the move and pass for Hojlund was world class.

Fantastic performance. Yoro and Dorgu gives us a very physical and solid left side of the pitch. Maz and Amad on the right could give us something similar there. Now what we need to do is improve the spine of the team. Striker, Midfielder, Defender and Keeper and we'll be much improved.

Do also love how passionate for the club and his teammates he seems to be, always celebrating goals massively and jumping in to celebrate defensive efforts, Collyer goal line clearance comes to mind.

Was a bit worried in the beginning considering the rumblings about wanting to go to Madrid in the future.

exactly the attitude you wished Garnacho had

He was awesome, pro active and winning the ball high up.

All we need now are another 2 CBs like this.

He has great fundamentals. I can live with the growing pains (mistakes and getting used to the league)

3 of him and we are golden. Hopefully he starts playing like he knows he’s our best defender.

Seems like he has. That LCB position seems to suit him quite well and is where he's looked most comfortable.
At a point he was running the deep build up. I can't remember the game now, was it Leicester in the cup or a Europa league game he was doing same, being aggressive on the ball and facilitating our play. He's definitely better playing from the left.
He really is starting to show what the hype was about.
Signings like Yoro, Dorgu, Quenda is the way to go.

Which he said to Ferdinand in an interview, right? I think we should play him there.

He's looked better recently. CB is probably the hardest position on the pitch as a youngster. Even the worlds greatest historically didn't really crack it until their mid 20s. He will continue to make mistakes as he learns and he sounds like someone who learns quickly.

It's definitely one of the ways we should go, yeah.

But the oldest one of those is 20, and are all project signings. We also need to add more players currently in their prime - the Ugarte, De Ligt age, who should have plenty of their prime years left. So of the ones linked, the likes of Hjulmand and Gyokeres are good examples.

Yeah Osimhen also.....I think we're building to be competing for big prices in 3-4 years at the earliest.
Part of the issue with the Ugarte- De ligt age range is the very good ones that is those who would or are already world class are already at the best clubs or will cost to much like an Isak. That's why targeting the generation behind is smart although a longer route to success

True.

Although I'd say Yoro (and also Hojlund when he signed last year at 20) cost a bit more than Ugarte, and much more than De Ligt, despite being project players signed from smaller clubs rather than the other two being players in their prime signed from big CL clubs.

So a lot will depend on who we target and how well we scout and negotiate.

Ugarte and De ligt being players this bigger clubs were happy to let go of was the reason they cost less. As good as they are, this type of players aren't going to be your Scholes or Ferdinand. The big clubs don't sell that kind. The only way to get that caliber is to get them before the Madrids and the likes come calling. And as costly as Yoro is he'll could be a world record transfer for a center back if we wait a few years.

True. That's why I said it'll come down to how well we scout and negotiate. Watching for a top player become unexpectedly available like Ugarte did, or who is from a smaller / mid size club and has a decent release clause - as clubs like Liverpool seem to do well. Obviously trying to poach Mbappe or Bellingham from Real Madid would be a costly exercise!

And emphasis on could in the last sentence. We went big on Hojlund's potential and looks like that one went wrong. So it'll be hit and miss, which comes back to how well have to scout and negotiate just as much to find and predict these 'potential world class' stars as well.

Yeah agreed.

His passing, like Martinez's, is very crisp and easy on the eye. Not quite as effective at breaking the lines yet but it will get there.

He has had a promising first season so far. He can be a real threat pushing forward as a right sided CB because he has ball skills and is so comfortable.

With all the chaos going on around him he has done well to block out the noise and just focus on what is in front of him.

I think the best thing in his last two displays is that he's been a lot more decisive and aggressive in his aerial duels. I don't have the stats (not that it would necessarily prove anything) but based on the eye test he's won more 'harder' aerials in those 50/50s and deep penalty box areas. That's good to see.
