Dalot, Grant, Fellaini and Fred, That's the 4 signings Jose was on about

If that's true then in the next 2 years we will be seriously competing for a major European trophy

the Europa League

Dream signing.

DDG-Best GK

Romero- Best second choice GK

Best third choice GK in the world. You hear it here first

Perfectly reasonable signing. Has experience and obviously has some talent, despite not getting to the top flight until late in his career. Allows Periera to go on loan and get experience. And for the guy himself, what a move!

Cocks out

Wasn’t Romero linked with a move away earlier this year? Grant could end up being the main sub keeper. I certainly remember him doing a Friedel at OT in a game where Ibras aim was horribly off too.

Going to be a while before this is announced I guess. The media team will be working on the video, sponsors will need to be briefed and ready, etc, etc. Patience is going to be needed, but this is done imo.

Solid signing, as it allows our youth keepers to go out on loan and develop themselves. Grant is a very decent keeper as well. He was Stoke's player of the year 2 seasons ago, when Butland was out injured.

You can divide those who know what they're talking about with those who don't by their reaction to this signing. He's probably never going to play a game and he's being signed so Henderson and Pereria can go out on loan and get some minutes behind them and he'll add to our home grown quotas. Plus even if the worst happens he's show himself at Stoke to be a very very able 3rd choice.

I was raised never to trust a man with two first names.

Then this happens.

My entire moral fibre is being torn apart by this utterly irrelevant transfer, and I've had to call my mum.

Grant always felt weird to me as a first name. Way more famous as a last name (so is Lee tbf but in another language).

Its a strange situation for Grant. He has to train every week but realistically has no chance of getting a single game. I'd personally find it quite difficult to commit to doing something (training), knowing there is no end result (i.e. an appearance). Money helps though I guess...

And also the possibility of starting for Manchester United.

Grant us trophies.

3rd choice, and a proven reliable solid back-up keeper.

Finally J. Pereira can go out on loan, he needs it after 2 seasons of coaching and training alongside De Gea and Romero. Henderson is also loan.

Romero's injury could even be worser than we we though, so he's also Romero's cover. Just these 3 keepers is enough.

35 year old, not a bad career for him to finally playing for the biggest club, and I'm sure a good contract at that for his retirement plan.

Max just two seasons likely, bet he'll play just 1 to 3 games for us.

Heard he's also free, can't see why this is being ridiculed.

Dalot, Fred, Fellaini and Grant that's us done ;)

I don’t think there will be other signings

I can expect Blind, Darmian out and stop

But there will be the same old story

Start of the season:

1) Bailly, Rojo injured
2) Jones and Smalling to start
3) Chance to win the EPL already over in September
4) Looking for next season in October 2018

Ofcourse we'll sign more, the reason why there's hardly any movement is because it's world cup year. City, Spurs, Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Chelsea have signed no-one so far too.

People moaning about our transfer window so far or saying that we're done in this window are genuinely clueless.

Excellent point.

Have some faith! But yeah probably, we're a long way from winning the league unfortunately.

That’s unrealistic. Premier League is looking likely, but we need Arnautovic to realistically challenge Real Madrid

I think the chance to work with Mourinho is also a big lure — seeing as many footballers end up (or at least want to) in coaching/manager positions, the experience he'll get from the training will be invaluable. And if he were to write a book or something, it'll surely sell better if there would be Paul Pogba and not only Charlie Adam present.

probably the most underwhelming transfer window for quite a few years
Chillout man, we aint done yet, however Fred is one of the best cms in the world, great fit, he will surprise many who underrate him. Dalot is a future worldbeater - spoke to my portuguesse mate who is fanatic football fan and he rates him extremely highly, that he’s apparently biggest talent since ronaldo, only playing different positions. If we sign Grant it will be for pennies and as someone says probably the best no3 in the world. Allow young goalies togo out on loan.. Fellaini extension is a bit of a let down for me and unnecessary but what you gonna do, good squad player if you take it from the positive side.

There is for sure a space for another signing for RW. Let’s judge window at the end of the day

brilliant

made my day here at boring work

I don't get what people are on about though, fine signing and shouldn't affect other signings coming in, Johnstone is also leaving and Pereira needs a loan move somewhere he gets to play every game.

How long until people are saying he's better than De Gea? I can just see some of the sensationalist journalism and muppet oppo fans running with it "United sign Championship keeper to replace world cup flop De Gea who's not wanted in Spain..", "OMG United in panic mode..OMG De Gea is a championship level goalie..OMG".

And then the premier league starts and reality kicks in.

By signing Grant and selling Henderson we are making a profit of 6 million without loosing much /any quality.
We have spend 65 million on two signings which means we have about 100 million left excluding the sales of Darmian and Blind, so about 125 million pounds if we sell them.
I can see atleast a CB & LB incoming, maybe a backup striker in Mandzukic
