Leander Dendoncker

Like the article says, Everton seem to be the strongest link at the minute. I think there's been some Spanish team interest - Sevilla, Atletico, Valencia etc. If he does go, it seems likely it'll be to a club in that vein.

€20m is peanuts for a player with potential, should be a dead cert.

Honestly, for 25m euros or a bit less, we should swamp that.

Send Pereira on loan for 1 season, then next summer promote Pereira, sell Fellaini and Carrick retires. No brainer.

If Monaco bought him for €20m then that's a great deal, especially getting Tielemens for €25m. A potential world class CM partnership for €45m is crazy with how the markets inflated this summer.

Monaco will sell both of Dendoncker (assuming them get him) and Tielemans in two years or so for double what they paid for them. They have invested wisely in buying those two, again assuming they do get Dendoncker.

Still available..

Dendoncker is the centrepiece of our defence,” said chief executive Herman van Holsbeeck. “If we let him leave it has to be for a lot of money.

"We also have to find a replacement for him, even if it is a loan for six months.

"A deal can be done if the interested club puts 25 or 30million euros (£22m-26.5m) on the table for him.

LOL. That´s awfully specific. He was even nice enough to convert it into British pounds. With his current season stats of one scorerpoint in 25 games it´s not hard to see why. Still for some English clubs that´s peanuts for a 22 year old, who might be sulking.

Hasn't he been really poor this season? I watched him a few times in the champions league and he was awful. He literally sloppily gave the ball away a few times that directly resulted in goals. I don't think he's ready for a club like United yet, although some players do step up once they move to a bigger club.

He has. Also due to missing out on a big transfer as Anderlecht didn't want to sell him I think, has affected him mentally. I would rather see him go to a German team like Schalke or Wolfsburg, before heading to the PL.

Ok cheers, fair enough. Playing poorly after missing out on a big transfer also sounds somewhat counter product, as now some of the bigger clubs won't be looking at him anymore.

We should be in for Dendonker seriously. The guy is tall and is a decent back up for Carrick/ Matic and could possibly play with Pogba and I think he would be fine with coming of the bench too. I even liked the idea of someone saying that we should buy him and immediately loan him to get game time.

January Signings
Dendonker (Good enough backup for Carrick and can also play in Pogba's role when we need to rest him and he would offer us depth as well)
Lucas Moura (I know a lot of people are against this signing but I think this guy may just surprise everyone)

Summer Signings

Griezmann (The No. 10 that we've been wanting)
Tierney (Many people have their reservation with regards to him but I think he would offer a lot more than what Shaw has been)
Pulisic (This guy is for the future. The other marquee signing who has the maturity to deliver at OT)

I like him a lot and I hope his form improves quickly.

If that's true then we should be all over it. Could even let Pereira go out on his loan to Valencia that way.
If true, an absolute bargain. If I was Jose I'd be looking to buy him and loan him to an Everton, in time for him to arrive once Carrick retires.

Just like 5 months ago  for the rumoured price, a no brainer. Replaces Carrick/Fellaini.

If we're going for a young CDM Rodrigo Hernandez is arguably the superior talent. More composed on the ball, from what I've seen.

Haven't seen him at all. But he's not been linked with us at all, has he? The point people are making is that Dendoncker is easily worth 20-30m and if he's available at that, now, then it's such an simple decision.

There have to be some question marks over him if he has lost form that badly this season though? I mean he looked good last year and he has a great name but bargains are only worth taking if the player is good enough. A lot of the time there is a good reason players are sold for smaller fees.

Fairly sure Rodrigo Hernandez has a release clause of about £18m. And no, I think he'll move to either Atletico or Barca.

Easily worth 20 to 30 million? Based on this season he's not worth 10 million. he's only linked to us a had a good game against us.

After not getting his summer move, he's struggled this season. Seen links to West Ham.

Absolutely. I can see that he's been used intermittently at CB as well as CDM for Anderlecht which may explain his dip in form. But he's a cracking talent and still young. Would be a long term midfield option for us, in my opinion.

Hasn’t he been pretty wank this season and been benched at times?

Which would probably be his level at the moment, if he picks up form. I'm not even sure he would be a starter at West Ham. Really don't get people here suggesting he can short term replace Carrick or Fellaini. He's fit and Carrick isn't, so that's in favor of him, quality wise, he has to take huge steps.

Don't know much about this lad but watched him v Celtic in Champions league this season and he was woeful. Bad night for him and his team in fairness but man was he ever poor. If I remember correctly he was responsible for the 3rd Celtic goal. One game of course isn't enough to give an insight, but even the physical aspect of the game he looked off, and that's usually your saving grace when your own form is bad.

He has really been bad this season. Looks like a totally different player. Last year he had a good partnership with Tielemans and was the centerpiece of the midfield for Anderlecht now he didn't get his transfer and Tielemans is gone he has turned to complete and utter crap and I'am not talking about a few games where his performance wasn't as good as it was last year, I'am talking about consistently being one of the worst performers on the pitch week in week out, not just in the big european games versus Celtic but also in the smaller games in the belgian competition.

He certainly does not look ready to be at a top club and I find it absolutley baffling that clubs would still be willing to pay €20m or more for him after having these kind of performances. I mean he looked ready for a step up last season but you need to show a bit of continuity and progress but he just totally collapsed after the setback of missing out on a transfer. He also hasn't shown any kind of improvement so far either. He should be focussing on getting his shit back together a bit and start to perform at the beglium level again before even dreaming of making a step up to a competition like the PL.

He is basically a lite version of Eric Dier. Versatile enough to play in the back if need to, but more comfortable sitting in the middle. Has a great engine, tough tackler, and doesn't mind carrying the ball as well. Needs a step up in competition to push him and start fulfilling that potential he has. The EPL is certainly tailored for him either West Ham or WBA would be good places to get him acquainted with the league.
