Potentially bad news for Crappy and OneNil

I believe (and it would be best if someone double checked this because I've slipped up previously), that both @crappycraperson and @oneniltothearsenal have drawn 3 successive 6s/9s - for R12, R13 and R14 - so therefore need to sacrifice a player each. I'm going to double check now.

Also worth noting that if Harms rolls a 3 or 7 in the next round (15) he gets the good bonus.

One question I had about this bonus though - what if Crappy or Onenil roll a 6 or 9 in Round 15? Would they have to sacrifice another player, because technically their last 3 rolls would have been 6s or 9s. Or do they need to roll another 3? Personally, I think it should be the first one, because I'm evil.

Right so our next pick is slightly random....Josep Samitier

Considered the most emblematic player in the history of FC Barcelona and the best European forward of his times, Josep Samitier (Barcelona 1902-Barcelona 1972) led the terrific Barça in the golden age of the twenties. His acrobatics and amazing jumps captivated the FC Barcelona fans who very quickly made him into their idol calling him “lobster man” and “magician”. The first “boom” of football crowds, came about thanks to him. A football team was created around him due to his exceptional technique and great football skills. Eventually the football field became too small to cater for the crowds and “Les Corts” was built in 1922.

With Samitier Barça acheived twelve Catalan Championships, five Spanish Championships and the first Spanish league that began in 1928-29. Despite starting out as a midfielder he is remembered as an excellent centre forward. The figures are significant: he scored 326 goals wearing the blue and claret shirt which made him one of the greatest goalscorers in the Club's history.

Samitier also was a trainer between 1944 and 1947, winning the 44-45 Spanish League and the Eva Duarte Cup in 1945. As Club Manager (position which he cccupied until his death) he was responsible for the signing up of Kubala in 1950. On the 16 September 1993, his name was given to one of the streets near “Camp Nou”.

Can we limit the time allowed for this one though and say everyone has to have filled the criteria by the end of the round or something though?

Yeah is a bit out of left field but the choice is so poor that had to go for a new face. Some rather interesting articles on him and even all those years ago, only three players have ever scored more than him for Barca!!

No idea on the surprise so not sure if it's consistent with it, but I'd go with the following:

1) Anyone wanting to know their roll in advance must have both picked already in this round AND submitted whatever @Edgar Allan Pillow requested
2) Anyone submitting whatever Edgar requests before the round ends gets a brownie point
3) Anyone not submitting in time loses all his brownie points

Brownie points are serious business, a free re-roll could be a god send if you get to the last box to complete your 14 and it's complete dogshit. There are also sections of the board becoming clearly more attractive, so you may fancy a re-roll purely to try remain in those sections longer.
 
I vote no surprise round. Draft has already slowed down a lot and surprise round is going to kill momentum completely especially with the big game today and its monday so some of us not going to be online much

2) @Jayvin can't pick @harms' (no Brits have lost a WC Final), so we unveil Pat Jennings. It's extremely unlikely there's a Box 3 player worth picking ahead of all those losing a WC Final, so @DavidG's clock starts running now and he can pick any time.

3) NEW BROWNIE POINT SYSTEM: those leaving their picks with the mods get 1 Brownie Point, those using up their full 8 hours lose a brownie point. Collect five brownie points for a free re-roll.

You rolled 6 or 9 in three consecutive turns so you must sacrifice a player to try get rid of the Devil's Eye.

You still pick, but only after the sacrifice. You can't sacrifice your pick for this round.

Whether that spastic ritual works remains to be seen.
 
Come on, guys, what's the hold-up? I don't believe that you still need to research anything and that you don't know exactly what players do you want now.
