Lack of rotation: Will this hurt us deeper in the season?

3 home games on the trot, no need to rotate. Plus most this game is already won so most of the players will be ambling around anyway.
But to effectively manage the squad we need the fringe players to be as near ready as possible should we suffer another major injury. To compete in England effectively ETH needs to learn that competing on all fronts is all about the keeping all squad members ready to play when needed. To confine himself to just 13 or 15 players wont cut it.

Dry your knickers. Soft bastards.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Here imagine some of them been supporters if we had of been at the same level liverpool were at the end of the 70 and 80s, man the meltdown would have been epic, as remember take Dalgish, had an average of 52 games a year for 14 years straight in an era with dangerous career ending tackling, construction site pitch as no fancy underground heating, heavier balls, and oh yeah the one that be the final nail, a 15 man squad, 12 on match day with one sub only and that was the keeper till 83.

Most of these player have more time off this season than they've ever had as professionals, the WC break has meant that the majority have had 2+ weeks off which they wouldn't have normally have had

It’s building team cohesion, keeping momentum going while still changing players. Can’t fault it.

so many people desperate to moan about Anything all the time.

We're more or less full strength every game whether it's League cup, Fa cup, Europa league or Premier league. It'll be a miracle if we don't fall off a cliff towards the seasons end. We should be going all out for the PL and League Cup imo, I'd have rotated heavily in the FA cup and I'd also sacrifice the Europa as it clashes too much with the PL.

Nice to know you don't think fatigue or injuries are a thing but afraid that doesn't change the reality.

I can never recall people moaning when Sir Alex rotated. He obviously didn't know anything about momentum presumably.

I honestly think he wants Martinez-Varane to win a match together. Last time they won a match together was 100+ days ago.

He rotated the keeper. He does not trust The Fridge or Linda to start, even when we can afford to lose 2 goals, Says it all.

It's a good job that bruno is very good in terms of fitness.

Poor guy just doesn't get a break at all.

Odd decision to play such a strong side. Maybe he wants more game time for the players to learn his system.

No rotation! The lads are playing in an east/west direction at Old Trafford, AGAIN! Would be good for us to play north/south once in a while.

It’s ten haags first season and the team are still learning his football, he has rotated, Just not enough to please people. He’s keeping solid foundations to the team so they continue to gel.
SAF has got nothing to do with this.

I’d say we’ve had more strenuous training sessions than this so everyone can calm down

Given how much data is available about the health of players these days, why is everyone so convinced they know more than ten Hag about what kind of rest is needed?

I kind of get it if it was Ole, but ten Hag has actually been quite successful at managing a team to multiple pieces of silverware in a season.

Yeah if only they won games together, keeping cleansheets.
They have already won some games together (6 in total this season) but it was very long time ago and it wouldn’t hurt to get them back on track. But of course could be many other reason why he’s playing them in this particular match.

It was ten years ago, but people certainly did. We didn’t have a first team. Instead we had a few geriatrics and a whole host of players struggling for individual form. His teams scored goals, though, so we got by until he left.

Fatigue and injuries are a thing. Ten Hag will know this. I don’t know why you’re posting as if your view on this is in any way groundbreaking.

You make it sound like they played many games and failed to win, desperate act.

Why does people here believe they know what ten Hag thinks?

He is not rotating rotating because of this or he is rotating because of that.

Face the facts, you have no clue, only time will tell if this is a good decision or not.

Nice try, it's cute though Lindelof fans trying so hard, if only he did the same.

People claimed the lack of rotation was to get a winning momentum, and these were my comments regarding that as I cannot see much other reason for them to play. And then I got caught in you patrol round.

Yeah sure those were your intentions

Sancho and Martial coming on. Intelligent squad management-give them 30 minutes here and they can build and start rotating properly.

The midfield needs similar treatment

I said this after the reading game, these last couple games have almost been training matches. Our players are hardly breaking a sweat.

Yeah sure those were your intentions
Since you don’t contribute to this thread either, and only patrol it to stop people from writing things you for reason not approve, I suggest you leave it. Turn on the tv instead maybe, there’s a game to watch. Bye bye.

Maybe you should watch the game, you will see what defending looks like.

Oh I said those were your intentions, it wasn't?

EtH wanted 5-0 lead to trust Maguire and Lindelof.

How many people still haven’t heard that Ten Hag is using matches as training matches yet?!

I get that we’re not training a lot atm and these matches are for fitness, but I cannot fathom why Bruno plays so much. Surely he needed to be subbed today? It’s like his 38th game of the season or something. No point playing him on the right when you’ve Pellistri desperately needing minutes and we’re 5-0 up.

I have to believe that EtH knows what he is doing. Its not like under Ole when he was flogging players because he was so desperate. He could have quite happily rested a number of players for this entire game and rested others at half time or 60 minutes.

I'm sure he knows how fatigued the likes of Rashford and Bruno are.

SAF was a big proponent of rotation and obviously did it to great success. So it makes sense why some of our fans would expect to see more.

However, ETH is his own man with his own ideas and I do think there is something to be said for keeping the momentum and taking it a bit lighter in training. It's not like our squad players aren't getting minutes they have all had a look in enough to stay fresh. Let's see how it goes and enjoy the ride.

Bruno is literally a Klopp player without the inhaler. Crazy how he plays every game

Wasn't surprised nor did I necessarily want to see wholesale changes to the starting XI tonight.

Found it odd he played Bruno for 90 mins though. Man is a machine.

I'm fine with it but i do wonder about the Barca match and the cup final a few days later and if there might be a fairly different line up for each game. We have a strong squad (in some areas) so he'll probably use it.

Players are trained and primed to play 90+ mins, 2-3 days a week nowadays. Getting subebd off at 70-80mins is a rest for these guys and probably as much rotation as they need.
