La Liga 2024/25

Reminds me of Arsenal going to Everton most seasons and losing in recent times.

Valencia have a bunch of kids all over the pitch currently so should be no match for even an understrength Madrid. I mean if this was played at Bernabeu you'd fully expect Real Madrid to win it 3 or 4-0.

Has the game been rescheduled already?
One journalist mentioned the new date would be the 2nd of January but I am not completely sure if it is official or not.

If true, then Madrid would play games on 2, 5 and 9 January.

The team is right up there for the title again, but surely better football in 2nd half is needed to win it , as this does not really look like a title-winning side to me.

I would be ok with our position in the league most of the times but we've also been trash in the champions league, so yeah we need to improve fast.

That’s stupid. Liverpool loaned us 5 players too after Munich. Rivalries can exist and people can have preferences in football regardless of what some blokes did 60 years back.
To each their own, but you can have respectful rivalries. There's also a difference between Madrid and Liverpool as we hardly ever face Real and, when we have done, there's only been one controversial incident (Nani). We're actively competing with Liverpool to be the most successful club in the country every year.

Exactly. So it’s not rude to not like them then.

I wasn't being literal with that, sorry! It's not entirely the same, but it was more like when someone offers you something to eat and, over here, we'd go "it'd be rude not to"

This second half for Barcelona all about Yamal.

Outrageously good player for his age.

Just a transition year this. We ain’t winning shit

Mbappe a flop. Ironic.
Again very bad. The usual suspects. Arda and Endrick in the 87th minute. Last week I was cautious with Mbappe but maybe I was wrong .
I think that in a scenario like this, a good team on a very difficult field, Vinicius would show much more.
Swap with Haaland? would it be realistic? and Tchouameni as a gift.
Will they sack him now or do they wait? Solari?

Sacking the manager may be the easy option but...

The full backs, Lucas Vazquez and Fran García, are not Real Madrid level.

Tchouameni is not Real Madrid level either.

Add a tragical Mbappe to the mix and these are the consequences.

Ancelotti is the best manager of the world. I think he´ll finally find the solution to this mess.

Mbappé is doing his best to get Carlo sacked, what did he do to him

I've seen an incredible stat about Madrid:
- They have lost 5 of their last 11 games
- Prior to this season, they had only lost 4 of their last 73.

Could be an interesting year, with neither Barca nor Real Madrid looking unbeatable. Its been a few years since one team didnt just run away with the league and make it a forgone conclusion.

Atleti should be looking to capitalise.

Barca looked unbeatable with their first choice XI. Now they have it pretty much back, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start to pull away again. Absolutely insane that their best and most influential player is 17

Can’t say I’ve been watching their games…instead merely checking their results.

Guler and Endrick must be getting frustrated with their game time surely. Or am I missing something. They never seem to start and are regularly brought on ridiculously late into the game without any real time to make an impact

So Barca is activating another "financial lever" by selling their VIP seats for the next 10 (or 20?) years in the refurbished Nou Camp, for like €200m as a way to get Haaland.

Barcelona have struggled real hard in this match. Pretty evident that their offside plan is no longer as effective with Betis having zero offsides in this match.
Yamal comes up with an insane assist for the winning goal. Almost scored a wonder goal early on after skinning past four players. He’s a different kind of generational talent

Good ball from Jude.

Edit : and there he is off, hope its nothing serious, precaution.

Jude Bellingham has regained his last season form. Such a great all round player

Valencia being 19th is sad. The club has been badly let down and should never be in this position.
