La Liga 2017/18

1-1, Ángel Rodríguez with the late equaliser for Getafe. A great cross to the far post aided by a defensive lapse. In truth, a deserved goal, as Celta haven't really done anything of note since their goal and Geta were the more dangerous side.

Aspas shooting blanks so far this season, Sisto is all trickery and very little direction and Emre Mor looking lively and direct when he came on, very sharp in the dribble but always lacking the final touch or decision.
Getafe looking like they could take this on the counter now.

What impressed me about yesterday's game was how comfortable Betis looked on counter attacks towards the end of it. They were moving the ball with such grace and tempo it was almost no surprise they score. You need to admire technical ability of these lesser Spanish teams compared to Premier League equivalents.

Kike Setien's work. Las Palmas scored 3 goals on Bernabeu last year (3-3). Wouldn't be a bad idea for Barca in the future.

What a goal by Levante!!

Yeah, no kidding. Chema with his best Zidane impression.
Looking at the first half highlights, seems like Rulli's been quite impressive in goal. Three excellent saves already.

Reminds me more of Matic vs Porto Puskas Award Nominee goal. Shot trajectory is from already up to even higher until it slightly drops and goes under the bar. 10/10 in difficulty maybe.

Levante defended very well and took La Real apart on the counter: 3-0 in the end, finished off with a glorious freekick from Bardhi.

Just reading the news of Marcelo out for Madrid with hamstring tear. That is going to hurt while they struggle to get back in form. Hes a great creative outlet for them

This is obvious from watching the two leagues. Yet the Spanish teams are constantly mocked for being crap.

Early start for the Atletico v Sevilla game.

Atletico - Sevilla ist starting in 20 minutes.

I like the Sevilla lineup a lot. Sadly escudero and kjaer are missing, which is a big blow. Sarabia deserves a start and Correa and Ben yedder could become important subs. I really like Muriel and I am happy to see him start this big game.

Sarabia - Muriel - navas
Banega - el mudo
nzonzi
Carole - carrico - lenglet - Mercado
Rico

Oblak; Vrsaljko, Savic, Lucas, Filipe; Gabi, Koke; Saúl, Carrasco; Griezmann, Vietto

Some really smooth football from Sevilla. Sarabia just hit the post. Banega drops next to Nzonzi, while Vazquez joins Muriel up top. It's more like a 424 or 4231. First time that Sevilla looks good this season.

It's a three way race this year. Atletico are stronger than last season. When Costa comes, they will be even harder to beat.

Madrid will easily beat Alaves.

I don't think Atletico are stronger than last season. However, if they manage to keep a close distance to Real/Barca up to January then with Costa/Vitolo added to the squad I can see them competing for the title definitely.

Last season they often had lapses of concentration. This season they seem more connected and have move belief in them. Or so it looks after 6 games. That and the fact that Barca and Madrid have lost valuable players.

Surely they will offload one or two players in January no ? Seems like overkill in terms of attackers

For some reason Torres has fallen out of favour. Vietto, despite getting lots of minutes isn't setting the world on fire. He should be for sale if anyone makes a decent offer. Gaitan, despite some glimpses and carrascos mediocre form, seems to be out of favour as well.
Two of these three are imo off if anyone takes them.

CIA front three should be interesting.
Let's see how is the understanding among them, especially Cris-Asensio ,who didn't play together so often.
Ceballos will play from the beginning too.Carvajal could have rested today

Ceballos strenghtening my case that he should play more

Need us to win for my acca. Trying their hardest to give me a heart attack
