La Liga 2017/18

I like Madrid new animation stands. They give good atmosphere and it is nice that they are all dressed in white. Much better without Ultras Sur

Horrendous defending by Madrid for those last ten minutes.
Betis didn't even score on the break, they slowly worked the ball forward and every Madrid defender got attracted to the ball

At one point Betis had 4 players against Madrid's two, too bad the guy shoot instead of pass, luckily his team won at the end

Isn't this like the first time Madrid fail to score at least one goal in a game since ages?

Betis' goalkeeper deserves a medal, what a performance, and Casemiro single-handedly stopped so many Betis' counter attack it's unreal, what a beast this player is, like it's almost impossible to dribble past him
Impossible for anyone not named Messi

Yes,I think that finally we only match Santos. We didn´t want to humiliate Pelé. That´s called "señorío"

I can't stand Madrid at the moment, so this is a welcoming result. It's just nice to see that they are beatable more than anything.

"Madrid never won la liga after being in some fixture to 7 points of Barça." :(

Only Barca fans really say Messi doesn't dive. It's a myth. He loves a good tumble maybe nor Suarez, Neymar, Busquets, Alves level but he goes down easily at times.

That's the equivalent of saying about someone who has a beer too many once a month that he's a drinker. Get real. There are divers (Neymar, Ronaldo, Di Maria, Robben etc.) and players who don't dive. Messi doesn't dive. He may go down easily from time to time, rarely so and when there's real contact involved mind you, but the overwhelming majority of times he will look to stay on his feet and continue to play.

That's what most fans who know Messi and have watched him a lot will tell you btw.

Yeah, even I have to agree that Messi isn't a diver. He tries to stay on his feet even when he gets kicked around.

It's not black and white issue though. Sometime he stays on his feet when getting kicked, and sometimes he goes down softly.

La Liga.. What an uncompetitive league, am I right?

On the contrary, this result does make the league more competitive..............................
.............................. for the 2nd place

Going down easily and diving are two different things.
Diving is mostly a calculated move where you try to dive into the ground despite minimal or no touch from the defender to win a penalty or free kick or get the said player booked.
Messi rarely does that. He may have done that, and i have missed it, would be glad if you help me show one or two legit cases.
Messi is more of a George Best kind of a dribbler who prefers to carry on despite being kicked and pushed.
Although George Best was more resilient and stronger, but that is an entirely different discussion.

Even Eibar who lost 6-1 played some excellent football at times I dont think many bottom league teams in other leagues are capable of.

12 shot attempts from CR and even an incomprehensible 5 minutes of stoppage time

You are obsessed and 5 minutes were fair considering Betis wasted at least half that in the last 10 minutes of the game.

We were awful in front of goal but how farsa gets a penalty game after game, and it keeps going on season after season, while we keep getting denied clear ones is becoming absurd. I mean, we were denied 3 penalties yesterday.
I guess when your opponent blocks the ball with his arm from going into the net and the ref acts as if it didn't happen you just have to give up.

According to the caf experts, Barca were supposed to be in shambles before the start of the season. And they have had their best start in history.

Still early days. Madrid can win it.

The one time I put these chumps on an accumulator, ffs.

Don't act like it is unfounded. They've lost their 2nd best player and were extremely desperate to replace him.

The squad is still one of their worst in years, Messi is just playing out of his mind.

Always found Ramos so overrated. Great going forward but a liability defensively.

It was that young Athleti player, right? I remember reading that he was about to go to the u21 Euros but the cancer fecked it up for him, think it was testicles cancer iirc.

Great news.
It is great news. He is a good player as well. His health is the important thing, so really pleased that things have worked out for him.
