La Liga 2017/18

The intensity was the intensity of a usual home game at the Bernabeu last season.
Yes, the usual for teams like Levante. We drew Eibar at home last season too, in a very similar game.

You created less than you usually do because there's noone getting on the end of chances, Levante closed the middle but you got into great positions especially out wide and there's only Bale in the middle to finish them off. If Cristiano or Morata were playing you would have 9 points right now. Even if Benzema played the full game today you would have probably won it.
And reoeatedly bungled it, and not because of lack of movement from Bale or the other attackers. Do we win this game with Cristiano or Morata? Probably, but then again one guy is out because of his own stupidity, the other choose to leave

You scored 3 against Depor because they're very very bad defensively and your players are still great. You're not missing fitness at all, your players were faster, were chasing every ball and the fitness plan was most likely the same as last season with the bonus of most players not having to deal with any international tournament in the summer.
Bale certainly is, and the team as a whole is sluggish. Which makes sense because that's how the fitness training in the summer is supposed to work. Overloaded and thus sluggish in September/October, then starting to fly by mid october

You say Benzema isn't going to miss all his chances like vs Valencia but he'll miss most of them for sure. Cristiano will be back but he's nearly 33 and can't play every game or he'll be dead by the end of the season. Bale is pretty much finished by now and Mayoral isn't good enough. Now Benzema is out for 6 weeks and you're pretty much forced to play Cristiano every game as a striker where he doesn't play his best football. You should have bought Mbappe, you lost your second highest goalscorer and arrogantly didn't replace him because you thought scoring goals was easy.
Yes, like every other striker ever. Mbappé didn't want to come, we'd have had to sell Bale and Benzema for that. There simply was no one we could signed to replace Morata.

And that's not even the problem anyways. The problem is we rely too much on our strikers to win us games. The plain truth is most of the time we don't create great chances, we just put the ball into the box and rely on our strikers to do the rest. We have to learn to attack better and rely less on crosses

The 3:0 was probably offside, but a great goal nonetheless. Good stuff. Hopefully it gives the players a bit of confidence. There will be a lot of competition for the the CL spots. 7/9 points is a good start despite some rather poor performances.
I'd be heartbroken if one of Real, Atletico or Barca would try to sign our superstar to save their bodged season during the winter transfer window. :wenger: I am sure they could price him away for 50-60m.

Iniesta keeps playing ahead of Sergi Roberto, I'm hopeless with things like this

Iniesta has like one good game in ten and still gets games. It's just mental

Yeah, I guess we shouldn't moan. But considering how we actually perform on the pitch most of the time and during this season so far...It is completely underwhelming. The table is lying; Sevilla have been lacking of intensity and been playing like a relegation team. And today, the game was a borefest. Somehow top of the table, and Ganso scored in the second consecutive game. Are pigs flying when you look outside your window?

I'll continue to moan as long as Ganso continues to score. It seems to work.
performance....well.....I guess its work in progress. The results are giving Berizzo some time and take pressure off the team. Hopefully we can build on it. The next three games are against minors, so hopefully we can win the first Cl-group match and collect another 6 points in the league, before we have to go to the Calderon. Ganso ftw.

Aren't you happy? :D

He was offside. They need VAR in Spain

Is anybody watching on Bein? they've got their tongue up Barca's hole.

Good goal by Messi but offside maybe

Good goal by Messi after a brilliant pass by Rakitic. Terrible call from the linesman, clearly offside

Yeah this commentator has been very annoying.

Barcelona have been nothing special and you'd think you were watching Barcelona 5-0 Real from the waxing lyrical this commentator is on.

More than the off-side what's really bothering me is all the independence chanting.

Messi in his decline, as I've been reading these last weeks in the caf

Awful positioning by the linesman in the first goal

Looks like Messi has decided "feck Neymar I'm going to win La Liga on my own this season."
