Bale was really disappointing, his confidence has totally gone. He still should have scored from 2 headers.
Madrid will pay the price of not buying a goal scoring striker heavily this season. I expect Ronaldo to solve the problem when he returns but at the end of the season when they're playing many matches in CL and La Liga the problem will arise again due to Ronaldo being tired by this time.

They've lost 4 points already because they were arrogant in the transfer market. Lost 30 goals with James and Morata leaving and didn't replace them properly, when Cristiano isn't on the team it shows and they look toothless and one dimensional.
Just like they're missing a back up striker, they're also missing a back up right back and their defense will have serious problems at a few points this season after injuries hit in. They have a lot of depth in midfield but they lack depth in a few positions.

Well, they did rip Barcelona apart in the 2nd leg of the supercup without him, that could hardly be used as an excuse...Especially at home against Levante.
That's true, they have the best squad. But many Ronaldo detractors used to argue that Madrid created so many chances against lesser teams that Ronaldo was just stat-padding.

That is the difference in class. Ronaldo has adapted his game over the years and is still the best with Messi. Bale is a pace merchant and that is it.
Exactly. Said this before but Ronaldo changing into a goal scoring machine needs to be respected not attacked as some on the media saying " Oh he's only scoring goals ". Ronaldo realizes he doesn't have the same ability of dribbling as before so changed his style to remain on the top. This identifies the world class players from just the good ones.
Madrid could have used a good centre forward today. Maybe a Spanish international? Someone with a good goalscoring record, especially against weaker sides. Maybe someone who is good aerially to deal with crosses and help with defending set pieces? Pity they dont have anyone like that.

We need to take these games seriously at the start, we're not going to be able to pull off comebacks outta our arses like last season. Start strong, score a couple, kill the game inside the first 30 minutes, control and save energy the rest of the way. Ruined my afternoon
