La Liga 2017/18

So even La Liga is over. Barca will probably go 11 points above Atletico tomorrow.

Regarding Atletico, say what you want about Simeone, but feck me, his sides aren't capable of scoring more than 1 goal a game. Pathetic.

Finally got you into the club :drool::drool:

It's such a pity there's no realistic muppet dream to get the juices truly going atm. I really like Dybala, and Kane, but they're no Neymar and Mbappé :( and those ain't moving until 2022 :(:(:(

We need Vinicius to become the new Ronaldo and hope for another preternaturally talented kid to show up. And sign him this time

Vinicius is too young, and apparently for the moment has only been a good revulsive for Flamengo. Maybe he should arrive and leave on loan. Although they are not working, the club was doing well on the subject of transfers, so I still hope that Theo, Vallejo, Achraf or Ceballos are valid, this year or in the future.
Next season Odegaard should return, and after 18 months we could start having an opinion about him.
Oh no worries, I am all in in transfer muppetery and I understand the hard ons in madrid. More because is an ex barcelona player than because is there. We all been there. Last summer with Isco going to barcelona for example

History repeats, but deep inside, you know that Neymar's transfer from PSG it does not make sense. But dreams are dreams, and the ones screwing over your rival are the best

According to Abc Madrid could pay 300 m and the transfer still would be profitable.

I'm still 100% sold on Dani, he'll come good

Not quite sure about Vallejo, seems to lack a bit of physicality, and he's already dealing with constant injury issues

Achraf, i dunno. Could become a useful player i guess

Theo, i'm afraid he's the new Danilo. He looked a physical beast last season at Alaves, but so far we've not even seen that from him, and technically he's miles off being able to play for real madrid

Llorente basically never played this season, so hard to judge...i like him tho, think there is a good player there. At least good enough to be a reliable backup for us

Having said all that, if PSG smash us i'd kind of wish we'd just blow it all up and restart from scratch. Not a big fan of our football since the first galacticidio. Give me 12/13 bayern munich anyday, that's my ideal of football

I´d like too, and there are certain players too relaxed, but realistically it is complicated to sell to 10/12 players. I have been reading now in AS that there will be a vote for Financial fair play 2.0, with a limit of 100 million between sales and purchases in transfers. I do not know if it would be for 18/19

Hey, I am not saying that signing Neymar would not make sense from Madrid perspective. I am saying from PSG perspective. They are not looking for money.

About Vinicius...I think even the Flamengo fans they don´t want him in the 11 first (despite as and marca hyping it all the time).

Sorry, I am enjoying madrid's meltdown too much:D:D

I still think you have the solution in your team. Isco and Asensio are abolutely brilliant for starters, Your midfield is top class, Carvajal is great, Marcelo too but the coach should put him on a leash like Ramos. Goal keeper is ok

You need a good CB, a good center forward, and kick CR and benzi out.specially the second. CR is getting old and even if he still great, he does not cover his tantrums with enough good football anymore (still being top class I repeat), a matter of balance.

And you have the better generation of the spanish futbol, you just don´t give them the chance. And Isco and Asensio are soooo good...

Did I say I enjoy Madrid's meltdown? because I do :p

Leganes get a dodgy penalty there. Guidetti blocked a shot, but raised his hands up towards his chest. Ref seemed to give a corner, but the linesman told him it was handball and a penalty.

Sky don't have the best angles, would love to see it again.

La Liga has to be the worst major league for proper camera angles for replays, most games it seems they're filming from the nearest tower block overlooking the stadium.

Deportivo, with the worst goalkeepers in La Liga, and playing Aldo One (youth prospect with games in the 3rd division and only 90 minutes of experience for the first team) seem like the best sacrifice Real Madrid could ask to reignite their squad this month until the game vs PSG.

I can easily see Real scoring 8 today with Ronaldo getting "back on form" with a poker, Las Palmas might be the worst defensive team stat-wise due to their disconnection in blowouts, but Deportivo defense are worse on a consistent basis, and this could be a massacre without Sidnei, their best defender by far.

If Real fail to get an easy win today I'd totally write them off for the UCL tie.

Nacho

This guy gets better every season, at this pace Ballon d'Or winner when he's 36 y/o

Real keep crossing and crossing the ball, surely they could've signed Dzeko if they insist this is their only weapon.

What is going on with Real? Feel a bit sorry for them and Zidane. Something is not working mentally I think.

Not like that strategy didn't work for us last season :D

Bale will win us this game, no worries

Well either that he'll get injured and miss the next 2 months :nervous:

We started attacking well now, depor forgot the existence of the offside rule, which helps

The new guy is breaking the line and destroying the references for everyone in the defense, if they defend up in the pitch they'll get slaughters at the back, if they go deep they'll get bombed with crosses. Hard game for them

Not even with Real Madrid in even deeper crisis Depor would win.
