I am watching this game.
I knew this already but Lionel Messi is the best footballer I have ever seen. The consistency of his brilliance is unmatched. Maradona was amazing but a showboater, he made more mistakes, he was not as sharp. Ronaldo is brilliant but he loses it mentally occasionally, is not as good as a team player and does not have quite the level of exquisite control. When Messi gets the ball in any situation he is more dangerous than any player I have ever seen and makes more good decisions too. He is phenomenal and an absolute joy to watch.
I am not sure anyone serious and without any prejudice who has watched all these players can any longer have any doubt about this.
