It's pretty simply @giorno, how can people discount the goals Zlatan scored last season (and shit loads did) as being not so impressive because it was only PSG? Yet big up Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez totals every season?

PSG scored 102 goals last season, both Barca & Real beat that. It's the sheer fact that these teams are as much better as the rest in Spain as PSG were the rest in France. That is simply emphasised by the fact that they have won so many CL titles the past few years.

Because is cross multiplication with another factor

Ibra scored 20 goals in the last 4 seasons in the UCL, Messi scored 38, Cristiano 55 and Suarez 15 in two seasons.

So, if Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez are able to keep their scoring rate in UCL while Ibra gets worse that means La Liga bottom/mid teams are closer to UCL quality than than the Ligue 1, either that or Ibra forgets how to score goals when you put him the UCL badge in his shirt

Well it just means that Barca and Real are light years ahead, hence why all these players (Bale also when fit), can rack up unbelievable scoring rates rarely seen before.
@Ishdalar IOW, Barca and Madrid are able to keep up their scoring rates in the UCL and that enables Ronaldo and Messi (and Suarez) to do so also. PSG only ever became close to being that strong just once, which was last season, and still, they weren't in the same league as these two.

Looks like Atletico are back to grinding out wins. Probably the style that suits them best tbh.

Atlético should have been doing better given the squad their have but with a Real Madrid win tomorrow it wouldn't be so unlikely to think Atletico could overtake 3rd spot soon.

I don't get your reasoning. Bale is scoring in a rate similar to Alexis Sanchez, is he weekly pissing in the PL then?.

I get that those teams are light years ahead everyone in Europe based in the last ¿8? seasons, I'm already familiar with other stats like when you compare their club career to their NT they start to appear more earthly. But I thought you were saying Real and Barça piss on everyone because they're too good and the rest of the teams in la Liga are awful, when in reality Barcelona can win 0-4 without Messi in the Bernabeu, 6-1 vs Roma and 4-0 vs Real Sociedad in the same week. That's how good the potential of the squad is, you can't put Real Sociedad in bad place for getting thrashed against a team that was in such a good run, same as you can't blame Getafe on a 6-0 defeat against a team that four days later beats Arsenal 3-1

I'm feeling like 3 years ago, even if I'm a Barcelona fan I'd love to see Sevilla win this league and joining Atletico, Real and Barcelona in a world class top 4. That title surely helped Atletico in their last step

Well, if Real Madrid weren't going to win I'd also prefer Sevilla do it lol. It might actually be good though for the league and Spanish football in general if they can consolidate as a top team both in Spain and Europe. Also it might help people to give more credit to the league as someone see having a wider variety of champions is a direct indicative of how good a league is in terms of quality and competitiveness.

Sevilla x Real Madrid today..

That was worst than what I have imagined but think Ramos is handling it well and he was very composed taking that penalty despite everyone shitting on his mother and his grave. I also had forgotten about the ban for Mexico when fans all over the world sing way more offensive things to players and with a lot of hate and anger, like Cristiano Ronaldo his chants were quite strong.

I know I have written that the sour feelings of Biris, towards Ramos, was understandble - and so is Ramos actions (to say the least). It is always going too far with the insults in Spain, and every now and then we may have to hear some racists slurs as well:(

Sevilla have officially protected these fans, and hinting that 'Ramos should not have done a Panenka, that is an insult!', even if they also condemn the things that the Biris sang about Ramos and his mother, they emphasised that Ramos somehow is the bad guy. And it gets more ludacris: plenty sevillafans have expressed their hatred towards Ramos after the game, especially because of "the way he shot that penalty".

I personally feel embarrassed when this macho culture goes out of hand. It is as if they are all walking with sensitive skins and looking for reasons to be insulted. What's next? "The opponent is not allowed to score at all at our homeground - it is insulting!".

Real Madrid have officially protected their captain, and basically hinting that the whole reaction from Sevilla is childish. Unfortunately, I think we all have to agree about that.

This whole episode have added more tension before tonight's game. I expect great atmosphere, but also hostility from fans, and lot of dives and players chasing the ref. I also expect chances for both teams, a more focused Real team though, and unfortunately... An ackward defense from Sevilla, that will ruin the party and our hopes to give some nerves to the league table. My biggest concern is if real scores more than 1 goal during the first 25- 30 minutes. It would kill the atmosphere and the energy players get from the crowd. Hence, kill the game.

Even though Sevilla's reserves attacked very well vs Real's dito, Real could have scored at least 3 goals during the first half, and probably would have done so if they had started with their main attackers.

Yet, another part of me got the naive hope that we will win. If there is a place where Real should finally lose, then it is at Sanchez Pizjuan.

Thought Rooney kissing the badge against Everton was much worse than what Ramos did. Remember when Goodison Park was filled with chants of "You Fat Bast@ard". Everton fans don't hate Arteta and i think it's a good comparison with Rakitic/Alves and Ramos. The former(Arteta/Rakitic/Alves) are foreigners who gave years of great service before leaving. The latter (Rooney/Ramos) are homegrown talents who left a little too early for the fans liking. Regardless the ultras always take it too far and the other normal fans are too scared to speak up against them so they pretty much rule the stadium.

I think you are right on point. Especially the Rooney transfer comparasion, because they are exactly similar.

The ultras have special treatment unfortunately. They do bring great atmosphere, but the backside of it is when they express hatred :/. There have been times where they chased their own players after the games. Fazio and Perotti have been caught walking on the street at one point (when they represented Sevilla), and few members from biris started to attack them, and I think Fazio took some hits. Obviously it is not representative for entire Biris. But still; for some idiots it is not always about football, it is rather about get an outburst, to let frustration out. Few social outcasts see ultras as a bunch of adrenaline pumped groups and they need to join in, now they have a reason to let that energy out. Always the same story with all these ultras.

We also shouldn't forget that many of these players are extremely young. Judging someone based on their decisions when he was ~20 is probably not particularly smart. Give him shit for a season or two but after that you should just let it go. I like football culture and proper banter, but in the end it is still just football. People should enjoy it and show some respect. Some of the rather extreme fans are just lunatics, who bring all their anger and hate into this beautiful game.
Ramos can be a dick himself, but truth be told, most fans would love to have someone like him in their own team. Stuff like his Panenka are part of football and are great entertainment. Just like some of the fancy tricks from Neymar at. el.

An insult and sign of disrespect is racial and abusive slur of the fans or when players go far beyond any reasonable boundary of proper sportsmanship.

Hopefully Seville can get some revenge for their midweek's game. Real's run has to stop sooner or later.

Espanyol have just got one back against Valencia. Valencia have been leading for most of the match, and are winning 2-1 now. 5 minutes to play.

Perfectly put @PedroMendez :)

I've been liking more Benzema coming from the bench, like when I think he hasn't been very good then Zidane would just throw it in there and score a beautiful goal, so if he's starting I hope we can score early or maintain the game at a draw most of the time because if we're going to be chasing a goal we are only left with Morata.

Biris with chants about Alves and Rakitic .
We will see how works this 532

Sevilla fans see Real as the biggest rival after Betis or why all the hate from them?

Not the most entertaining game, but it got lot of tension. Two careful teams, which is understandble after the wild west stand off they had thursday. Real have looked a bit sharper.

".. just needed some vaseline on that beautiful bald head". - Hudson. Wow
