0-0 HT at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Sevilla have had the lionshare of the possession. But they have created little. Alaves, on the contrary, have given them a few scares. Sevilla really need a quick striker unafraid of getting physical like Bacca or Gameiro. Vietto is slow and too small to provide a reference point for play to develop

How is Ben Yedder doing at Sevilla?

Ben Yedder scores! Wonderful ball from Ganso. A ball that was lost he somehow backheeled into space for Yedder.

 Wow! What a hectic finale to this game. It's Wissam Ben Yedder again!! @VorZakone has worked his jinx(?)
Him and Ganso providing presence in the box along with onrushing midfielders in the box has really been a nice change compared to the 1st half

A 2-1 win for Sevilla at home sees them jump to 2nd place behind Madrid only on goal difference. But, of course, the other teams still have to finish this round of games in this match-week.

Sampaoli got the right balance in the 2nd half. In the 1st half, it was too passive with not much forceful attacks as there was probing and prodding for space in behind. But in the 2nd half, there were plenty of runners in the box waiting for low crosses or cutbacks from the bands.

Modric is out for a month or so.

Bye bye Zidane.

So happy for Ben Yedder, a good player who almost on his own saved his former club Toulouse from relegation. It surprised me a little to see a team like a PSG not trying to buy him because he is quality.

He's right though. Real haven't been looking particularly impressive so far this season and with the Modric blow, more problems are added. Couples more draws and Zizou might be out.

Zidane is a club legend and they have been grooming him for this position for years. He will get more patience than most.

I think you guys are nuts. A couple more draws and he might be out ? Am I actually reading this right ? He might still get sacked midseason but you can be sure it won't be anytime soon.

Only Ibrahimovic and Lacazette have scored more goals than Yedder in Ligue-1 in the last 5 years and they both played for much superior teams. Yedder's Toulouse finished 17th in the last 2 seasons yet he still scored 38 goals in the same period. His quality is undeniable.

We're talking about Perez here.

Out with injuries-

Valencia - Garay
Atletico - Godin, Gimenez, Augusto

Valencia with most of possession in the first 10 minutes with little penetration. Atletico have been on top since then.

Something is not right. Montoya is winning against Filipe Luis so far.

Penalty for Atletico. Nani foul on Correa inside the box. Bit harsh.
