La Liga - 2014/15

Great performance by Valencia. Should have switched to this game earlier than watching out shit effort at playing football.

It was going to end sometime.

Valencia look like they really are getting their act together after a couple of poor seasons. Crowd's going home happy.

Negredo playing well? City could really do with him now. Disappointed we sold him but was pretty much out of our hands it seems.

WHy did you exactly? He was excellent in the earlier part of last season. What happened after that?

I could fecking cry right now, hope Moyes pulls off a miracle later.
Keep hoping...

Last season against the top 6 teams we only took 6 points from a possible 36... and four of those points were from Asnl. (still shocking when you read it back)

Negredo asked to leave. Some papers reported it was because of a financial issue in his personal life, and I've seen a few people on Bluemoon claim it was something like that (one claimed he had to have 24/7 security for his family) so it all sounds very shady but a couple of the more reputable papers did report it as a personal financial issue so there may be something behind the rumours. I prefer to believe his family just didn't settle in Manchester which sounds more plausible. Regardless, it was out of City's hands effectively and we made a good profit on an ageing player.

Yup. I guess there is nothing you could really do in that situation. Bony should be a good replacement.

Plus Negredo was absolute garbage from christmas onwards

A combination of rushing himself back from injury too soon and his personal problems seemed to be the reason behind it. Something definitely changed after his injury anyway. He used to celebrate a lot when he scored or a teammate did, but like at the final whistle when we won the league, his mind just seemed to be elsewhere. Sad situation as he and Aguero for the first few months were absolutely devastating and had so much potential.

I'd love Bony at City. One of those players who I think has the genuine quality to make the step-up from playing for an above average side to a title challenging one. Although, I would probably prefer a younger player with more potential like Lacazette or Benteke.

Well, Bony is only 26, atleast on that fake birth certificate.

Benteke is only 24, not much room for improvement after that.

Who's Lucas Orban? Probably gave out the best performance from a LB of the season today.

Expect to be fleeced by Aulas if you're ever interested in Lacazette.

Haha I assumed he was about 29/30. Certainly looks it. He reminds me of Toure in the way he plays at times, where he just lumbers around looking disinterested occasionally but then can just come out of nowhere to produce something special.

The size of his quads ... Like Toure, makes it very difficult to dispossess.

Strikers have the shortest peak, they also have the most players that peak the most. I really can't see Benteke improving much better.
They also have the most players that peak the most ? That might be the single worst sentence I have ever read on here. Every single player peaks.

Cristiano only completed 13 passes today, that's pretty damning...

Also, 3 of the top 4 have failed to win at the Anoeta. Barça to continue the trend?

LCB. He's come in for the past couple in Valencia's 3 at the back and done really well. Was signed from some French club seemingly to be backup to Gaya at LB, and Gaya started the season as Valencia's best player so wasnt expecting much from Orban. But in these couple of games on the left of the 3 he's been one of Valencia's best players

I dare you to look someone in the eye and tell them David N'Gog has, or will have, a 'peak' in his career.

all joking aside.

Ronaldo, 11 penalties half way through the season, that is OBSCENE and it makes his tally FAR more impressive than it actually is.

Also 11 penalties to Ronaldo this season, 1 solitary penalty for Barcelona
