La Liga - 2014/15

MF two of Kroos and Modric just does not make any sense. Especially in tough games like this. They should have never let Alonso go.

I sometimes wonder what goes on in Perez office?

Perez: "So Carlo who are the three most important players of your squad you think?"
Ancelotti: "Well Alonso because he shields the defense, Di Maria because he drives forward our attacking game and Ronaldo because he is our best finisher."
Perez: "Bummer."
Ancelotti: "Huh? What do you mean by that?"
Perez: "Oh nothing" *cough* "I sold Di Maira and Alonso" *cough*
Ancelotti: "What? That sounded like you just said..."
Perez: "On to the next question, what's your favorite whine Carlo?"

Dialogues like this never go well. :D

Atlético again showing the value of being a team, great result.

Where have all the people wanking over Real Madrid's starting 11 disappeared to now? ;)

Whistle about to go - FT.
Great win for Atletico. Ancelotti's got his work cut out.

Has Chicharito touched the ball?

How can you only add 2 minutes to a game of football? Only see that when the scoreline is beyond any possible repair or when absolutely nothing happens.

Very typical Real and Atlético Madrid performance overall. Atlético getting away with a 1 goal win yet again.

They went along with Alonso. Don't think anyone drooled ahead of this match, did they?

Where will Ancelotti be managing next? Back in the PL perhaps?

Carlo's Madrid, one win in three matches. So far, it has shades of our 2nd-season with Carlo back in 2010-11.

Fantastic play from Garcia for that winner actually.

No. They did before the Sevilla super cup game though, which Alonso wasn't involved in.

Them losing means they'll have to sell half their roster and buy new players. That's good news for us on the Ronnie front. :D

Who?

I don't know anyone, not even any Madrid fans, who think the team is balanced.

Has Chicharito touched the ball?

He did a few times and didn't feck up.

The crosses and passes Madrid put into the box were really woeful though. Was keeping a eye on him and he made sharp runs every time but except 2/3 times ball didn't even come close to him.

You should check out the European super cup thread, everyone declaring this (I think exactly the same starting team) side as unbeatable.

I don't think it can be underestimated how so very tempted he must have been to hit that! Impressively selfless dummy, with a nice feigned shot thrown in to give Tiago even more time to pick his finish.

What was Ancelotti thinking starting with that midfield against Atletico's much more stabile midfield? It's also not really his fault though, going from the best and just complete midfield of Modric/Di Maria/Alonso to this.
Perez :wenger: but cheers for Di Maria

Oh and back to the game, Ancelotti then also puts on Chicharito that early as he was going to do anything against a team as organised and hard working as Atletico.

3rd La Liga game in a row live on the same channel. With two channels I could have watched live football for 10 hours straight today. Not too bad. Just a shame that Alfreð is still injured.
