Yep, Real Madrid were the ones that paid a world record fee for Ronaldo and were the richest club in the world at the time, if Real Madrid were broke, Ronaldo never would have went there for the simple love of the club. It's a job, it's a business. You judge by a mixture of salary and prestige. Real Madrid have both, so it's win-win. If someone in the Qatar league offers Ronaldo £1m a week to play for them, the balance isn't right between salary and prestige. If Real Madrid offers Ronaldo £20k a week to play for them, the balance isn't right either. PSG gets that balance right more than people give credit for. It's a very attractive proposition. Live in Paris, play in the CL guaranteed, paid a fortune. If you consider the CL to be the pinnacle of football then PSG is more attractive than United for example, where the PL does not guarantee CL football.
I'm sure nearly all those players would stay if PSG wanted them, like Bayern with German players. There's less than 20 players in a PSG main squad or whatever, so then they follow the next most money (Premier League).
